Literally fricking came off the bench after the half to lead a scoring drive.

Some of you must be new to football or just ignorant sports fans.

His arm was hanging dead like Colt McCoy from years ago when he took that last snap, I’d believe it.

I bet Colt wouldn't have came back in to hand off the ball on that final snap tho....

Hate that. Makes a poor QB class even poorer. Plenty of teams going to try and trade down this year.

It’s 12 games into the season. Surely he has had enough reps in practice. The guy wasn’t playing a high school game the week before. UGA knew that they are overly dependent on the QB this year. You don’t think that he was being prepped for such an occasion?

Never ideal to lose a starting QB but Beck hasn't exactly been what one might call good most of the season. Unlikely with 3 weeks with the #1s that Stockton isn't good enough to guide UGA as far as Beck might have or further. He has been in the system a while and is far more of a running threat than Beck. Never ideal but not the end of the world for UGA....

Does bring up the question about sitting out though. Not so much the SEC CG although in this instance it was almost as meaningless as a non CFP bowl game but this is exactly why some choose to sit out bowl games....it rarely happens but it is liable to cost Beck millions of dollars.....or anyone else who plays in meaningless post season games and winds up injured. Hopefully it ain't as bad as rumored but if it is it could be very costly.

Its ok. We know Stockton with 3 weeks of #1 reps scares ya.

I don't know how / why anyone would realistically assume this based on what little sample size we have seen.

100% he would have. Dude broke his leg in an NFL game and managed to walk to the locker room.

UCL is Tommy John surgery. What the MLB pitchers go through. Takes well over year to rest, recover and strengthen.

Prayers to a speedy recovery to him.

this has to be a major hit to his draft position, so will he come back next year at Georgia instead?

Well yeah FSU last year had a million opt outs too lol. A little easier to win a game going against third stringers. Norvell lost that team last year. This year was just the fallout

You get downvoted for reporting something from a Georgia site regarding an injury to their starting QB lol. What a bunch of pussies

I think if you asked any UGA fan they’d rather have Beck in! The UGA playbook is going to change, and I don’t think Gunner can make the throws Carson does, but makes up for it with his legs?
Definitely gonna need the defense to step up big! If this team starts out like they have most of this years games, lethargic and down big, I don’t think Gunner can bring them back the way Carson has this year!

Texas, UGA had their hearts ripped out twice against Bama with backup QB’s over the years, it sucks! Once for an SEC championship, and once for a national championship..
