I know you didn't watch and are just shitposting, but it had nothing to do with this. We didn't even make contact with the ball, and got lucky to get the runs we did get. Our best players just disappeared at the plate. Had nothing to do with the size of the field.
You're not reading between the lines. It's not as black and white as that.
Field larger = not as many homeruns
It's more nuanced than that. Pitchers and actually PITCH to the UGA players now and not be scared they are going to check swing a fricking HR like they do at Foley. UGA also has to change their plate approach which also led to the lack of run production.

Not saying this is wrong, but how much of UGAs run production comes off doubles and what's their OBP? That matters too in Omaha. I think the stadium thing, while elements of truth, is a cop out of haters and they just got cold mostly. I am shocked OU got them as personally I thought UGA was the best team. They've been really good recently, including 2 Golden Spikes awards in two years both from the Atlanta area. Give them some respect.

I give the GA Baseball Dawgs respect because I thought they would win this WS. I'm surprised they didn't and I appreciate all of the good analysis regarding why they failed.

quote:I don't think that was it. They didn't have a lot of near misses , like hitting the warning track. I think they just ran into a different level of pitching that they didn't see during the regular season and Regionals and Super Regionals. We played them 6 times and you can always count on our bullpen blowing it.
You had problems because you weren’t playing in a middle school stadium that’s smaller than a normal stadium.
