Was kentucky better than LSU in 2007 when they beat you in OTat home?
For the record, the game was at Kentucky.
LSU out-rushed Bama by 50. They held Richardson below 90 yds rushing. Bama had more yards (still less than 300 total) by passing the ball - most of it meaningless yards in their own territory. Alabama ran a total of 4 - count em -- 4 plays inside the LSU 20. The first 3 plays lost yards and the 4th was a field goal - and all were on the same drive. Otherwise, not a single play inside the 20.
Face it. LSU won the second half and the overtime -- and the game.

He knows (as wellas the rest of the country) that Bama moved the ball MUCH easier on the LSU defense and that the missed opportunities by Alabama is what cost Alabama the game. So in conclusion, Alabama beat Alabama. Looking forward to the rematch in BR against LSU!!
SO a wide open Shepard catching the ball on the 5 and falling down instead of staying on his feet and going in the end zone. Pass to Randle just off his finger tips in end zone.
Would that not be Blown opportunities by LSU as well. No one seems to mention those only Bama's missed opportunities.
The best team is the one that walks out of the stadium with a win period. All the talk about who is better than who is just peoples BS trying to explain why they lost.

I think we are as good, and most talking heads around the country think that too. Yall are acting as if it is a crazy opinion. I accepted defeat on Nov. 5th, but its not our fault all of these teams keep losing. shite, excuse us for being a little happy that things are looking better for us.

I am getting tired of the old "better team lost" thread. This is impossible. I understand the impulse and have felt it myself. The score is the only point. There is really no other way to judge a game. If turnovers or penalties cause you to lose..than you were the worse team because you committed them. If you move the ball, but just can't quite convert..so what? The belief that "we would win if we played 2 out of 3", is pointless. The game is the game...1 game, not some judgment on a series of games. I have played in games where I just "knew" we were better, but we lost. Guess what..we were not better or we would have won. If it was possible to determine who was better with out playing and keeping score..than why play?

Yea, but remember he is a Bama man through and through and probably has a little bit of pull somewhere. Bama needs all the help that they can get to the championship game. He is just doing some politicking...

This is th Alabam version of being Classy?
"After an investigation that ran from late 1993 to August 1995, the NCAA found Alabama guilty of four major rules violations during the 1993 season. Stallings was implicated, along with athletic director Hootie Ingram, in falsifying the eligibility of Alabama cornerback Antonio Langham during that season. Langham had signed with a sports agent and applied to enter the NFL Draft following the 1993 Sugar Bowl, but was not subsequently declared ineligible per NCAA rules. Alabama officials only declared him ineligible the week before the 1993 SEC title game. As a result, Alabama's football program was placed on three years probation, and docked a total of 30 scholarships from 1995 to 1998. Alabama was also forced to forfeit eight wins and one tie from its 9–3–1 1993 season in which Langham participated, resulting in an official record of 1–12. The Crimson Tide were also barred from postseason competition, including the SEC Championship Game and bowl games, during the 1995 season.'
