frick this hand wringing and pearl clutching is getting old. He may leave. For more money. A bigger name. Because he wants to. He may not. He may like Oxford. May want to forge his own path. Likes lower expectations.
Either way, this is tiresome. And there is only one person on the planet that knows what he wants to do

If Ole Miss actually has equal resources to LSU, as Rebel fans say, Lane should just stay in Oxford.
He hasn't been drastically better than BK, to this point.

Wrong. School name is important. Very much so. The Ole Miss brand is fire. The boomer brands are meh.

Tbh, what you’re going thru right now, is always gonna be a huge knock of any team having Lane as your HC.
I wouldn’t mind at all if we got Brohm or Fisch and not had to deal with this circus each offseason
He’s not the only guy out there who can put an explosive offense on the field each week

As you all know, he says it’s the biggest mistake of his career leaving Baton Rouge
I keep seeing LSU fans run with that quote and making it out to be so much more than it was intended, as if it was some admission against his 17 years and 6 titles and overall time at Alabama. Literally all Saban said was that leaving LSU and CFB was “probably professionally the biggest mistake I ever made” why? Because NFL coaching was, in contrast, a terrible experience for him professionally. That is all he is referencing. Somehow some of yall have missed the point he was making and made it out to be some bizarre LSU fantasy confession. Undoubtedly Saban is proud of what he accomplished there, and at every university he coached at and brought success, but that isn’t him saying the whole time he was at Bama he regretted he wasn’t at LSU.

Wow this one Facebook post of his Gainesville-born UF Grad ex-wife and his son, who would be a third-generation legacy playing the same position as his UF HOF Grandfather, is very concerning for our chances

For every perfect 10 there's a guy out there who wishes she would just stfu.

Because all 3 have won SEC and Natties in the last 20 years..very easy to see you can do better at them than Ole Miss.......very, very, very easy.

The talent available at Tennessee (or any SEC school) to what was then a good looking young 30s HC is unfathomable.
I’m shocked you don’t hear about it all the time with younger assistants on staff

Was the NIL and the transfer rule change were being setup back in those days?

If he's smart he'll realize or have someone explain to him he can forge his own historical path at Ole Miss rather than following in the footsteps of someone else's at LSU or Florida.
I have often thought that way about other coaching moves. For some reason, however, they always leave for the extra $ anyway.

Did you guys sell out yet for this weekend?

There’s definitely not a quality of life difference between Oxford and Gainesville/Baton Rouge. I’m sure his entire family and extended family living in Oxford will be thrilled to move and “fit in” there.
You’re talking to deaf ears.
Tuscaloosa is only slightly less shitty than Gainesville and Baton Rouge.
