They're in Omaha for the 6th time in 8 years. No title but that is damn impressive.

To win the CWS you have to be strong in all areas of the game. Seems like we always have solid pitching and fielding but the bats go silent in Omaha. Maybe this year they break thru.

Go Gators!

6 trips in 8 is impressive especially in the dead bat and parity 35 man roster era.

Math is not LSU's specialty... come to think of it none of the academic fields are.

Pat Dooley, not Dewey.
I thought our actual field wasn't bad. It's the stadium that sucks (which is getting renovated this year).

If I am not mistaken, the gator's basketball facility only recently got a well deserved major upgrade. This despite all their success in the league & those NC's. Where is all the money going if not into facilities? Not a slam but how is The Swamp holding up?

UF is about to correct that though from what we're hearing.

Major renovations have been in the plans and were set to begin in 2018, but there are some rumors now that they may be scrapped for an entirely new baseball stadium. Should know direction in the next month or so.

This was the concept that released for renovations as part of the overall athletics master plan:

That's impressive
They definitely need an overhang.
Right now you bake in that sun late in the season.

LSU is going to have to do some renovations to keep up. LSU could do so much more in the outfield area and the seating area down both lines to spruce it up.

LSU is adding a weight room to the baseball stadium as well as a new locker room for former players who come back in offseason to work out. Raising money now.

That's what I meant and I'm sure Dooley too. Bama's facility was outdated but field itself was fine, now the whole facility is a jewel. It doesn't look renovated though, it looks new as the renovation was top notch, and I'm sure UF's facility will be great too in near future.

The field is fine, the stands and concessions need to be upgraded. I would recommend reducing the capacity to about 3,000 and putting in recliners along with selling beer delivered by Hooter girls. This would increase the demand for tickets and keep the stands full for games.

That's pathetic. I guess it's only "great to be a Florida Gator" if you're not a baseball player or fan.
Everyone in the SEC has stepped up their game in baseball facilities except UF. Foley was never much of a facilities guy.
It's not UF doesn't have the coin.

Funny shite from an uninformed mind.

Yes....it was a little bit of an exaggeration. But I wants to make a point with sarcasm. Attendance at the regional and super regional was pitiful at your stadium and an embarrassment for the SEC. It is apparent I touched a sore spot.

Foley had a 10 year freeze on renovations.

Baseball and softball are scheduled for after next season. They are in the process of hiring the architect now for softball, process hasn't begun for baseball. The fact that they haven't started looking for an architect at the same time as softball lends credence to the rumor of a new stadium.

It's a bad venue for watching a baseball game. It's way too hot in the stands. Poor planning when they designed that thing. I have no idea about the field itself.
