You people keep harping on the attendance at the Gainesville Super Regional. Did those games not have rain/lighting delays? For like multiple hours? I guess the lsu nutria would sit in the rain until the cows came home. Sorry but the people in Florida have better things to do than going out to the swamp and catching crawdads. We have beaches within an hour of Gainesville on both coasts. Enjoy that oil tasting shrimp and fish you swampbug love so much.

Both super regionals had rain delays, LSU closed it out after 2am. Plenty of fans remained.

Cool... I guess the beaches are fun rainy day options for you. Not my cup of tea.

Or are you saying you're just not a big fan of Florida athletics, and that's why you'd rather do something else?

What's your point?

The sad thing about florida baseball stadium is that even with it being pretty small, they need to decrease the capacity because uf can't even sell it out for a super regional game 3. It's a joke how poor their attendance is for baseball, especially when you consider how their program has had reasonable success.

They're in Omaha for the 6th time in 8 years. No title but that is damn impressive.

Child's play compared to another in state school. Fsu's lack of ability to finish has spared uf for a while.

Major renovations have been in the plans and were set to begin in 2018, but there are some rumors now that they may be scrapped for an entirely new baseball stadium.

A new stadium is what needs to happen. Renovating the existing stadium is useless...it's facing south. Whatever is done to the existing stadium will not alleviate the sun.

In order to relieve the brutal heat for the fans in the stands, the field will need to be flipped. On that basis, it's the worst field in the SEC to watch a game at. Especially during day games with high temperatures.

I've sat in that stadium twice, and both times there were more fans hanging out behind the stadium than sitting in the stands. And I couldn't blame them.

I guess it's only "great to be a Florida Gator" if you're not a baseball player or fan.

What? How the hell does Sully get all these players to come to UF then? I'm confused.

Oh wait. You were just lashing out? Well, OK then.

That's one of the primary reasons, there's reluctance to dump $30-40 million into a stadium that is inherently flawed because of its orientation.
