If louisville could hire Oats, they would've done it by now instead of getting Payne. Pat Kelsey or the Florida Atlantic coach would top my list.

They hired Payne because he was a Louisville guy but also because they were still waiting for the last round of NCAA punishments to be handed down. And they were looking at repeat offender status at the time. Nobody that was decent was taking that job until they knew how bad the punishment was going to be.

It’s a different circumstance this time around.

Even under the best Jurich days, louisville doesn't have that kind of pull. Oats told IU no and It is a better job than Louisville. Remember UCLA getting turned down left and right?

Indiana hasn't been relevent since Bobby Knight was there. At least Louisville has a vacated national championship since then. Besides, you'd have to actually live in Indiana

Indiana produces more instate talent than kentucky can dream of, plus they made the title game in 2002.

In state talent doesn’t mean a thing with the NIL landscape. The state of Arkansas produces a top 10 team every year now with just in state talent if we are just talking about states producing talent.

Stop acting like Bama is anywhere close to the job Louisville is. You fools can’t even afford a new 8k seat stadium that you need. Louisville when good fills up 18k.

Even Louisville has too much integrity to hire Oates

I don't even like Nate Oats but I'd feel bad for him if he ended up at a career ender like Louisville

Not everyone can go out on a hot streak like calamari. How much does it cost y'all to get rid of him again?

Don't be sorry... Your opinion doesn't mean jack... UK's history is all y'all are living on and Bama's present is in much better shape.. UK wins less with more than any team in the country it's just an NBA transfer system lmao. If you couldn't promise that NOBODY would even come to Lexington. As far as leaving Bama for Louisville.. are you stupid? Wait never mind lol.

I posted that in the other thread. IF they don't get Beard, then Oats makes sense.

We have the 6th ranked CBB class currently, 14th last year, and 3rd the year before that. If you think we aren’t putting a shitload of money into basketball you’re fooling yourself

No Lie. The YUM is nice and a NBA ready arena.

If he left (which he isn't) Louisville would be my #2 team no doubt. He definitely brings fierceness & subtle arrogance that Louisville definitely needs to get out of that pushover mindset right now
