I can only imagine what y’all would have said if this was in reverse. The rant would have crashed.
This is about thread #500 with Bama fans blaming the loss on the refs. How could it possibly be worse?

Fine. LSU had the ball at the 18 yard line Burrow was completing every pass. They had other plays. Would have scored anyway.

It really seems like karma for them to get an even worse call to beat lowly Mississippi State in 2017.
One minute mark. On mobile and suck at linking.

It wouldn't have mattered, "they can't fricking stop us". It was first down we would have scored anyway. If your dbs hadn't held all night we would have scored 2 more touchdowns.

The dumbest thing about this view is that you can't see where the damn ball is lol he stepped out on his own before he caught the ball

Um, you obviously haven’t turned on a TV since the game.
It’s been all over television and radio Sunday and Monday the explanation of why it was the correct call and why call was “confirmed.”
I’m not doing your work for you. It’s not my fault you got an idea stuck in your head and haven’t researched and/or turned on a TV since Saturday.

My how the tables have turned.
Exactly. And as soon as y'all come to terms with it, the easier the next two months will be.
It was a catch because that was the ruling on the field which was also confirmed by the review. You got Mossed! Deal with it!

I want to book mark this thread to acknowledge how LSU fans are siding with the refs, explaining the "rules" and decisions that were made.
Personally, I don't think it would have made a difference in the long run, but I do find it surreal to read all these LSU fans agreeing with SEC officials.

There’s nothing to agree with or disagree with.
Of course Alabama fans would be discussing the one high profile non-judgment call of the game. It’s actually funny and some don’t even realize it’s a psychological function of the melt.
How about let’s talk about judgment calls that could have gone either way? That’s more fun, to debate calls that truly could have been called differently.
This particular call could not have been called differently, on field or after review, as the SEC office has already explained. So I have no idea why it’s even being discussed.

Yep.
1) We didn’t force moss out (obvious).
2) moss’s foot was out of bounds
3) moss reenters the field.
Those three don’t add up to equal a catch. Now, your turn.
The Alabama defender did have his hands on Moss, great defense and not pass interference. No penalty was called nor should have but you are wrong about Moss being forced out, he did not go out of bounds on his own, the defender did force him out with a shove.
Easy to question the call and test of the knowledge of the rules.
One thing is clear the receiver Moss did catch the ball and his toes were in bounds at the time of the catch.
The Ref at the time ruled that Moss was forced out and this cannot be reviewed so it is a mute point. My thoughts and you will not like it is that the incidental contact caused Moss to step out and obviously can be argued forever.

Same could be said for Bama fans complaining about refs. Y’all love SEC crews amirite? How surreal

Y’all should put up some billboards man! Hopefully that’ll get to the bottom of it!

The irony of Bama fans bitching about losing on a bad call in the big game is ALMOST as delicious as LSU fans defending winning on a bad call in the big game. It’s the only redeeming facet of the entire game really.
