re: He’s not leaving

I’m not saying he is leaving. That system is great to show off his talent so wanting to win a Natty is realistically the only reason to leave. But isn’t NIL by rule not to be tied to the actual school. It’s only about his personal NIL. So, technically, as long as he does what’s in the contract he could still go to any school because that can’t be specified in their contracts.
It’s the same rule that allows for a runner called down by contact to be reviewed and overturned as a fumble. There is a whistle on every one of those plays. As long as there is a clear recovery it goes to the team that recovered the ball regardless of the whistle.

The exact same thing happens on every fumble that is initially ruled down by contact. Do you think they don’t blow a whistle on those plays? The “inadvertent whistle” didn’t happen before the events of the backwards pass and drop.

To be fair, this happens all of the time. When they get a call wrong and say a runner was down, they blow the whistle but go back and review to see it was a fumble and was clearly recovered.

It’s not a new thing they just made up. Everytime they get the call wrong on a fumble that was called down, a whistle is blown. It’s literally the same play.
I feel like State is ranked about right for preseason. Too many unknowns and hoping for pitching. Outside of Bednar we were not dominant with starting pitching last year either so you never know. Hopefully a couple of guys step up and secure Saturday and Sunday.

Offensively we lost our two best base hit guys and Tanner Allen’s clutch factor. However, we return a much more powerful team. I’m not sure how that translates in Omaha. It seemed like this year home runs were pretty significant but if the wind isn’t right we could go there to die.

There are 6 guys in the lineup that could/should be double digit+ homerun guys. James, Tanner, Hancock, Cumbest, Clark, and the huge 2B transfer RJ Yeager. If we can have a young guy or two develop and be one of those base hit guys we could be really dangerous.

It will definitely have to be one of those Moneyball situations where we won’t 1 for 1 replace Jordan or Allen but top to bottom our lineup could improve.

Defensively we should be better across the board for the season. You can’t get much better than we were in Omaha.

Basically Chris Low used to be the ESPN beat guy for the SEC then Edward Aschoff (RIP) took over that role. Dinich was the beat person for the ACC back then.

So it’s about the same or better than most media folks. I don’t know why anyone would care about their opinion on anything other than journalism techniques . It would be about equivalent to getting my opinion on judging art.
Yeah this photo was one of my favorites after a very very generous spot on I believe 4th down. Enough daylight for the camera to pick up easily but still a first down for Auburn.

I mean dude has to have the number one rush defense right?

re: Are bulldogs the most useless dog ?

Ever seen one do what they were bred for? Ours took down a full grown Holstein bull, got run up on by a full grown donkey, kicked by our horse and then took the donkey down. I had to pry her jaws open with a stick to get the donkey loose. Not to mention she gave birth to 5 healthy puppies 2 weeks later. I don’t think there are many 50-60lb animals out there that could do the same.

It’s my luck that we go undefeated for a good ole asterisk with no national championship since it’s a scuffed season. Besides the winning part, that is the most Mississippi State thing that could happen.

Defensive numbers were almost identical per game with State.

If you dive a little deeper with common opponents, aTm and Bama, it’s not even close in yardage. 501 yards and 26 points given up to aTm by Clemson versus 293 yards and 13 points for State. 482 yards and 16 points given up to Bama versus 305 yards and 24 points. Granted maybe Bama racked up some yards in trash time. However, Clemson defense did have the privilege of a good offense versus a completely inept offense by State that continuously had State D in tough situations.

All in all both were all time great defenses but sadly only Clemson’s will be remembered because it’s a full team game. It’s sucks that such a good defense was wasted.

Yeah it runs up here. Get a package with SEC Network and you are good to go. We just use YouTubeTV here in Fort Wayne and every game is televised as far as I can tell.
Probably need an answer from aggies and their reputable AD.
Probably. Interesting that it would have jumped another $100M had Dak and Dallas inked a deal.
We ran it in goal line situations early in Dan Mullen’s tenure. Mostly due to personnel like a strong fullback and running backs leftover from Croom’s team.

Not a fit for current state of the MLB. If you aren’t a homerun threat then you aren’t a threat apparently. Teams don’t really build around stringing together base hits.

I think our biggest issue in the GT game was losing our DC after the regular season. Our defense looked absolutely pitiful and unprepared against the triple option.
Probably the same issue for Ole Miss, can’t “escort” them to The Library.

re: Best RB in 2020

Yeah but you also are leaving out a ton of production from the passing game from the RB position.

A lot of those quick passes and screens to the RB go down as receptions when it’s just an extension of the running game.

Albeit it is semantics of RB production. Would a WR do just as well or better in that position? Maybe.

If we are talking true line them up and pound it I’d go with any other RB in the SEC because we aren’t going to do that. But if we are talking overall production from scrimmage, I would think Hill would be in the discussion.

Well we literally had a player named Mike Hunt.
