Correction: Should read, "maybe bama should start their own conference and just play with themselves all season."

Bama will not beat LSU this year! I think A&M has a better shot because bama will not score 40 points, LSU will this year! They will not can not stop our offense! A&M may be able to score with us?? But in our stadium I doubt it! Who's the idiot that said A&M would be bama's only challenge? our Dline will be all over AJ this year! And those dinks and dunks won't cut it this year! Can't wait to see Saban on that sideline..... And there will be nothing he can do about it! Come on Sat and come on GA! Shut gurley down and take the deep ball away! Man I can't wait!

The tendency over the last several years from an analyst's perspective is to try to SOUND objective about Alabama by talking about any potential weakness we have and not over playing how strong we are because of how many people will begrudge you for stating the obvious.

So, when Bama shows some obvious looking weaknesses, it makes sense that Danielson found a silver lining and exploited THAT as an angle. His job is to call it how he sees it, but to learn when to bring relevant points up.

He did just that.

Don't be TOO sure. This year's offense will be ready to PLOW some suckers by that time in the year. Looks like it started heating up last week.

Once again people are overreacting to the defense just as they did about the offense in the 1st game against VaTech.

Alabama played a top 3 offense in the country on the road with a Heisman trophy winner at QB. You don't peel off 35 unanswered points against an offense like that if you have a horrible defense. You don't hold a offense like that to only 7 points in 2 1/2 quarters if you have a bad defense. I think people would be looking at that game very different if it wasn't for the Yeldon fumble. But please go ahead and believe what you like.

you should have left that part off there... because JM got more yards on us in that game than ANY game ever, which absolutely leaves us up to fair criticism.

but the truth is in the middle, like normal. they can dissuade themselves about our D all they want into believing it sucks. but deep down everyone knows it was just a high octane / emotional / crazy game, and our D will prove itself the rest of this season to any doubters.

honestly, it's best people have the perception that it's NOT as good. better to be under-estimated than over-estimated.

I agree the criticism is fair because of the yardage, but a lot of people would not have even thought about the yardage if that game ended 49-28. The talk would be Alabama defense gave up some plays to Manziel, but got the stops when needed and how it's hard to stop A&M.

The only team left on he schedule that may be favored or is at least a significant threat is LSU but don't be fooled OM can beat us and I am not sure about auburn yet. I don't want to sell them short based on my opinion of gem last year. The LSU game wil be tight as usual. If its a blow out it is likely were on the receiving end unfortunately

I don't know about that whole 2 1/2 quarters view (unless you're counting the end of the first quarter after they had scored 14 already). In the one scoreless quarter they had, they had an INT. in the end zone after driving 70+ yards down inside the five. Bama had a 90+ yard drive that took over six minutes of the quater up. And aTm drove down to the 25 of Bama before half, but time expired. There wasn't much good D in there. The Sunseri pick in the 2nd half was a great play though.

Things would have looked different if they would've just thrown to Evans in the end zone instead of to the other guy (getting it picked). It goes both ways. That's football.

I think Bama's offense will be pretty good because they have a great QB who is mentally tough, tough RBs, etc. The D will get better and be good. There is only one Johnny (and Evans is great too). I realize there are not like other teams. But I don't care who Bama played, they have 11 guys on D and Saban was scheming. I was a little shocked and I think there are some issues besides Johnny just being a great player with a talented supporting cast.

Then again, Saban teams tend to make it happen every time people question start questioning them. We'll see.

Other than aTm and LSU, I hardly see anyone on your schedule at all.

Of course. The last 3 times LSU beat bama it was bama that beat themselves.

Well, he is right. Bama plays the easiest schedule in the SEC just like they do every year and as usual their non-conference opponents are weak and none of them are likely to finish the season ranked - same as always (or close to it).

So if bama can't get up to win 2 games this year (LSU and the SECCG) while playing a weaker schedule than everyone else and considering the hundreds of thousands various parties pay their players to play for them, they are a pretty massive failure IMO.
