That was a great place for live music, probably saw the Storm Orphans there a dozen times. It’s a wonder I can still hear.

Both of my brothers tended bar at Jupiter at one point or another. They may or may not have snuck me in as young as 15 just so I wouldn't destroy their booze inventory at the house.

shite, I feel old now.

I would try to go out for drinks while at UAL and talk to the (not much) younger folks. Felt an extreme disconnect, especially because they were >60% non-Southerners. I eventually found my way to the old redneck dives.

We watched the 92 Sugar Bowl in an apartment, then went to the Strip and set off fireworks. A couple of guys streaked down University.

I often wonder if Rusty's still alive? Those were some wild times.

Is their still a sports bar in University mall next to the movie theater? Place was sketchy as hell but fun.

University Mall never had theater.

McFarland Mall did, and I think you're talking about Vieux Carre. McFarland Mall had mostly been demolished last time I was down there a couple of years ago, so Vieux Carre is no longer there. I had a couple of interesting nights there with an alcoholic co-worker that hated his wife.

I was in love with Marley, the tall blonde bartender there around that time. She was married though.

Saw way too many sunrises walking out of that place.

There's gonna be at least a textbook's value worth of blow left in the stalls at Moe's.

I don't think Phish ever played the Tusk. They played Solomon's(I think) in 90 or 91.

This was an 18-and-over gig – the “Get A Little Bit Looser In Tuscaloosa” show. The venue was listed in the Fall Tour 91 and Nov/Dec 91 Phish Updates as College Station Theatre (where they played 3/8/91), but the show took place at the Ivory Tusk.
