FYI

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Due to the forecast of inclement weather tomorrow, the No. 6-ranked Florida baseball team will host Florida A&M in a doubleheader today, with first pitch of game one slated for 4:02 p.m.

The second game of the twin-bill will begin 50 minutes after the conclusion of game one. The series finale will remain the same on Sunday, March 7th, with a 1 p.m. first pitch.

6 of the top 8 in the SEC.

FML. You could have a great team and struggle to break .500 in conference play.

Side note: Texas, Texas Tech, and TCU are a combined 15-1 since the beat down they received in Arlington.

Florida will get a chance to see what hbcu baseball is tonight lol. Auburn did and won 33-0 ,we won like 17-1 .

It's actually really boring to watch

Not quite sure how ELO rankings are calculated but LSU is def very low. They should easily be in the top 10 if not top 8.

I’m ok with waiting for us to jump heavily. We really haven’t played anyone so far and we did need walkoffs against Nicholls and Youngstown state

And yet other powers have lost to much lesser competition and haven’t dropped because of it. The only thing I can think is we started out super low compared to the other SEC teams.

They also all played in Arlington (except Florida and Vandy) and beat Top 10 teams. South Carolina hasn't lost and beat Clemson twice.

What about Ole Miss losing a series to the mighty UCF knights and Miss State losing to Tulane? So they get a boost for beating the ranked teams in the opening weekend but they look the other way when they lose to much lesser teams.

Well, for one, UCF and Tulane are much better than Air Force. Much, much better.

And for two, yes, winning games against elite teams matters more (or at least cancels out) losing games to good/not great AAC teams.

And with all that said, LSU is what, #12? After playing absolutely nobody other than 1 game with ULL to date? Seems pretty reasonable to me. Alabama had played a similar schedule and has the same record and are exactly where they should be until they beat teams with a pulse.
