don’t want to have to keep up with the arms race to just be mediocre. Can be cheap and be mediocre in the ACC. Also can focused on basketball and academics.

If that's the goal, just drop football and join a basketball conference.

Mississippi State leaving would be beyond hilarious. Ole Miss would truly be the sole dominant program in the state if that happened

There’s no way in hell this is real though.

No, you're not. We've already hit our ceiling in the SEC and it was back-to-back Outback Bowl championships and one crappy SEC East crown where I still think we lost 4 games in that regular season. Then proceed to get curb stomped by Scam Newton and Auburn in the SECCG.

I’ve been saying we should do that for a while now

Arkansas was/is always in a strange situation.

U of Arkansas was in the SWC... while Arkansas as a state was an SEC state... but the location of the U of Arkansas was the one tiny part of the state that was in the Big 8 footprint. They got a lot of their media from Tulsa and Springfield, MO back in the day.

And while they didn't play Big 8 teams much... they played Oklahoma State and Tulsa almost every year for thirty years.

These days none of that really matters and Arkansas is now "surrounded by a couple of other SEC schools...

But Arkie would be a HUGE boost to the Big 12 and I think the fans might acually enjoy being a big dog again in football.

There is absolutely no way they are that stupid. The absolute best option for them would be the Big 12 if they left

I’d like to see A&M leave as well. Team like Tech can simply ride an easy schedule to the CFP every year. Smart to leave for lesser competition.

So, you are content with just making it to the playoffs and losing? Maybe you guys should leave the SEC, lol.

This is just completely ridiculous, nobody is trying to get into the ACC except G6 schools maybe

LSU could always be the new doormat.

LSU wins more national championships than any other school in the conference, that makes no sense.

UF treats our football program like it’s a G5 program

Which is ironic because this is going to ultimately result in the system collapsing and losing out on all this money.

Would not want to lose any of them.
I wouldn’t mind leaving, I’ve said for years the UAA doesn’t want to compete at an sec level and I’d rather go 7-5/8-4 in the ACC every year with an occasional playoff run

Who the hell is Bill Wad?

No way any of those programs leaves the SEC. The only school of value from a new media contract is Florida and they wouldn't add that much since FSU and Miami are already in the SEC.

It's bullshite.

Why the hell is State disgruntled? Being a charter member of the SEC is the greatest thing that has ever happened to them.
