Our depth and talent is so much better overall that I doubt any freshman starts at any time this year unless a series of freakish injuries occurs.

The only one that MIGHT have a shot is DT Hjalte Froholdt, he is a beast. Has secured a second team spot already, was early enrollee. He could work his way up to 1st by midseason possibly.

It's kinda strange to not be looking to the incoming class for someone to step up and fill a glaring hole on Defense or the skill positions.

Hootie and Petrino's attrition rates and recruiting gambles seemed to always have the roster losing water. Bert is getting quality people and they're staying on the team and improving drastically when they get here. This should be a fun year for us.

Were all 5 of your OL freshman last year? I liked the idea of Butch coming in and just letting them play.

I don't see any WR LSU has better than Johnson right now. One of the best high school WR's I've seen in a long time. He's been taught well

Realistically, probably David Ducre at FB. Kevin Toliver could see some starts at nickel.

Agreed plus Tuehema will likely see some serious PT on the OL.

He's gonna be a DOG. Can't wait for this kid to get on the field. He has instincts that you can't coach

I am sorry my man that really sucks.... I was really excited about watching him play. I would have given my left nut for him to go to Ole Miss. Well maybe not but still.

CB - Toliver

or

FB - Ducre

or

CB/RB/WR/KR - Jackson

I actually see Jackson showing out all over the place. He might push for starting nickel (which we use most of the time and I don't see that stooping with Steele), and I think he takes starting KR and if Miles becomes the Mad Hatter again, he might even start as PR (we don't start true freshman at PR).

Ivey at RG or Scarlett at RB. Callaway may get some serious run at WR as well.

I've always liked this as a way to build a quality team.
Not knocking the 5star guys, they just leave after 3 years if they're the best.

Cal at Kentucky must have trouble occasionally with so many 1 and done players. That's what a football team full of 5 stars remind me of....but he was 1 game away from history, now gotta start over.

Its a double edge sword.

I agree Ronnie Harrison may start at some point this year at safety. He wasn't a consensus 5 star but has impressed from what I've heard. Also it's a position of need. I think Bo Scarbrough would have been a very good contributor had he not got hurt.

Wouldnt be surprised to see Cowart starting by the midway point in the season. He is just too talented and there are not many upperclassmen ahead of him on the depth chart

As good as P Williams is, we could honestly redshirt him if our WR corps stays healthy.

All reports indicate PWilliams is a 3 and done kind of talent. No need to waste a year RSing him, if he is truly healthy.
