Christobal isn't leaving Oregon. Not for Texas, and not for Auburn. Think it is Freeze, which means AU is ripe for yet another NCAA investigation

Name ONE offense that doesn't get shut down by a stud defense.. Myself and a Nation of Coaches await your answer.
There is NO silver bullet scheme man. If there were, every team would run it and this game would be boring AF.
Coaches use what they have to be competitive. Not every team is built like a Bama who can just maul you down the field. Its not a bad thing that a Coach used his IQ to scheme his guys in position to be successful which is a Coach's job.

Auburn is talking to Mario Cristobal to make sure that Joe Moorhead is the right fit for Auburn

Bill Clark would be an excellent choice. I’d also give Sarkesian a call to see if he was interested. Napier is solid.
Freeze carries a lot of risk. Does Auburn really want to buy into that?

Freeze would quite obviously be the best choice, as he is easily the best candidate.
Agreed and quite frankly the idea of Freeze with even a Nick Marshall type at qb is a scary thought.
As far as Freeze's NCAA and off the field issues are concerned, it isn't as if Auburn's last risky hire didn't turn up roses with the Pearl hire.

Keep Steele.

Sources are telling me that Saban wants a change of scenery and has a deal pretty much done. Just waiting to dot the I's and cross the T's. And... get this... he'll leave Alabama BEFORE the SEC Championship.

Why would Cristobal leave Oregon for Auburn?
Because he likes to be scrutinized for everything he does, and not have an easy path to the championship every year.

Oregon has a top 3 recruiting class coming in and he’s going to leave that to come to Auburn why?

He is making $2.6M a year.
Our DC is making $2.5M.

It’s Cristobal. A business colleague that is related to au PTB says it’s been in the works for a while.
Not an insider inTuscaloosa much less auburn but he is related to one.
As a matter of fact the owner/operator or whatever of one of the au boards has known for some time and has kept it close to the vest.

I do believe the state of the football program doesn't warrant the risk as much as the bball program did...it was a dumpster fire.
