If two of them make the CFP, it would put any 9-3 SEC team on life support. If 3 of them make it to the CFP, any 9-3 SEC team is deader than hell.

The moral of the story is hope like hell your team finishes 10-2 or better.

10-2 or worse team has no argument for a national championship.

That doesn't mean that fans won't howl about it. South Carolina was "the hottest 9-3 team in the country" two years ago, and Texas fans thought they should get in last year because, well, they're Texas as some shite.

True but South Carolina was desperate and oh so close.

We just wanted in so we could troll. Remember this one?

When you play a nine game SEC schedule there will be some very worthy team who are 9-3. And far better than that Big 12 BS.

I know this seems crazy and def not the general consensus but I think it’s gonna be 2 SEC teams in the championship game.

Don’t bother arguing with me, it’s just a feeling I have.

No the moral of this story is that if you controlled the Big12 and left it was a monumental screw up.

:LSU kige:

Natty should be #1 vs #2, maybe Top 4 in an off year

After 4 it is all a morn thing and makes the regular season meaningless.

That’s fair and I certainly agree an sec team wins it all.

I think I'm right though.

Sec is playing for 11 spots. ND will get one regardless of their next loss.

They left for the TV money and easier recruiting. Really had no choice. It was the BIG or SEC. I wonder if they would have left if they'd known the PAC was going to completely fold like it did before making the deal to come to the SEC? Picking up the 4 corner schools and BYU might have made the Big 12 more appealing to Texas and OU. Lots of TV sets in Phoenix, Denver, and Salt Lake City areas.

If they were actually serious about SOS as a metric going forward, then it shouldn't be a problem.
