Absolutely. Had a great sense of humor, as evidenced by his novel t-shirt company Throwboy Tees. He’ll be greatly missed.

He was my favorite college QB of all time, even over Connor Shaw.

RIP

Sucks to hear. I enjoyed watching him play...even when he was playing against LSU. He took it all in stride and seemed liked a genuinely nice guy. And like a few other have said, he is who I think of when I think Kentucky football. The SEC lost a good one today.

"It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jared Lorenzen, would like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation for all of your support and prayers over the past 6 days," the statement read. "We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Jared today, July 3, 2019. Again, we appreciate all of the warm wishes and prayers, but as a family, we would request your respect and privacy. We will offer arrangement information in the coming days. Please keep Jared's family and especially his children, in your thoughts and prayers."

They probably could have used an alternative adjective here. RIP big guy. Sucks

Very few people can live to a good age being obese. Truly sad for his family and friends! RIP big fella!

Wow, so sorry to hear this. JL was fun to watch because he was not your typical QB.

Prayers to his family and the UK family.

The last time I saw him play was indoor arena football for the Northern Kentucky River Monsters. He was still flinging the rock like a champ.

He was a damn good college QB and a unique football player.

Just 38 years old, too. Very sad to hear.

Awful. RIP Jared.

Time flies- I wouldn't have thought he was 38 but still so very young.
