Coaches can’t control what the players put in their bodies at home. It’s up to the players and their parents.
I’m a middle school teacher and coach. I can tell you from my experience that most teenagers don’t drink enough water at all. There are so many of them drinking energy drinks and taking creatine and other supplements that require being well hydrated. They don’t do it. Just like you can’t wait until your car is hot to put oil in it, the same applies to your body in terms of hydration. I don’t know if this is the case with the young man at Ruston. I’m just sharing what I witness quite often.

Josh Reed had very good hands and was an excellent route runner. He could cut on a dime which made him hard to cover and hard to tackle. Let’s also not forget he was a converted running back. Imagine Reed in the 2019 offense as the number 3 instead of Marshall. Yikes
