Funny how the only queers douching up a thread about a man dying have the same logo by their names. It's pretty pathetic.

Kenny Stabler requested his brain and spinal cord be donated to BostonU to support a study on degenerative brain disease among athletes

SO he passed yesterday in a 'controlled' environment listenin to some awesome tunes. What a man. What a life.

The surprising part is how it WAS kept under wraps until this evening. Especially since his spinal cord and brain had already been harvested and donated for medical research yesterday at the TOD.

I don't necessarily think the reporter owes too much of an apology. Maybe he jumped the gun on the family releasing a statementt, but it appears ole Snake had moved on to life eternal a day ago.

Peace to his family. He was a legend for sure.

Kenny Stabler was a childhood hero of mine. One of the real NFL Outlaws of the '70s.
I'm deeply saddened by his loss. Condolences to his family and the Alabama community. He will be missed.

I hated to hear this, Snake was a serious badass and actually made me listen to Bama broadcasts when he was on. RIP

He was never indicted but there was some really shady stuff with that deal. Did the kids win anything in the wrongful death suit? Same guy? The OM defensive tackle?

Former Alabama QB Kenny Stabler passed away today quote: He didn't have the stats. 198 TD and 222 interceptions. 75.3 QBR is barely top 100. Matt Ryan has thrown for more yardage in 7 seasons than Stabler did in 15 seasons.

You won't found any QBs from those times that put up those numbers. Different game then.

Exactly. Go back and check Terry Bradshaw's stats. Took him 8 or 9 years before he had a 300 yard game.

Anyone claiming he wasn't one of the greats wasn't around to see him. This man was the definition of toughness- back when it really counted.

I can't believe Kenny Stabler is dead. I don't remember his Alabama days, but I do remember him with the Oilers and the Saints. I'm very sorry that another Alabama legend has passed.
