For those wanting Sankey gone

I think he will get major heat if only 2-3 SEC teams make the playoff bc it would be directly related to him pushing and going to the 9 game conference schedule.

Sankey and Greg Byrne both need to be fired yesterday. But, the AD's of the colleges are the ones who wanted the 9 game conference schedule. I found this out this week. They wanted the extra $6,000,000.00 per year by playing the ninth conference game. So, in reality, if we want to blame anyone for the nine game schedule, look at your AD.

I'm all for firing Sankey after his public statements during the LSU saga. I already thought he was bad, but he went a step further & looked either unprepared or like he was lying.

Is that total or per team?

He got curb stomped on the stand in Baton Rouge.
I’d put that more in the category of his arrogance going in.

Showing up to that hearing and getting on the stand saying he hadn’t read the 5 or 5rule was pretty nuts for a guy going to court about the 5or 5 rule.

I’m an LSU fan. Not only do I want him gone, I want him arrested. lol
Moving to 9 games when OUR 8-GAME SCHEDULE was already harder than everyone else’s 9…fricking idiot. And against the coaches and AD’s wishes.
And apparently he’s presiding over the first ever SEC team to get booted from the conference. Even if it doesn’t happen, which it won’t, just the fact that it’s in the news ain’t a good look for the conference and its commissioner. This should all be behind closed doors stuff. And certainly not in the courts with the conference suing one of its own.
And don’t forget the ABC/ESPN tv contract blunder. It cost us all $10-$20m+ per school. He should be fired for the TV contract alone. The TV contract is the primary and most important role of the commissioner and he totally botched it.

It's $5MM per school, not $6MM but I wonder if that money was worth it for the larger programs in the conference. If you're Vandy, definitely, but if you're Bama and Georgia and expect to make it every season, making the playoffs (and obviously winning) is worth a whole lot more.

Fourth place teams shouldn't make playoffs.

As I've said before, I don't really pay attention to other schools too much. So, I really never understood the hate for Sankey until this shite happened. I can't believe he actually got on the stand and said that he hadn't read the 5 for 5 rule until that day in court in LA. We all know he is lying. But, what is he lying for? What is he trying to cover up? That's the part to worry about IMO.

We will lose more that that by losing the SEC Championship Game.

Did they run a cost/benefit analysis comparing that to what would be brought in by more teams in the playoffs?
