A&M is a really good educational insitution with a handful of areas that are academically excellent. The aggie culture is much more important to them than success in football or any other element of athletics. Most universities in the South have undignified and embarrassing elements of their past. A&M is choosing to not evolve and shed off some of those embarassing elements. The violently homoerotic rituals that are upsetting to the rest of us are everything to them.

There's a reason consevative kids flock to Texas A&M. And yes, it has nothing to do with embracing the new culture.
