That's all that matters when it comes to the vote. Everyone knows what Kiffin and Wade have been doing and pushing. Trying to make claims of "evidence" don't mean anything when it comes to these votes.

I think this is the old guard who still believes in amateur sports as a concept.

I don't know.
But I do know if that is the basis for things then it's to say - if you suck you can have autonomy, but if you have success then you are free to be gutted by the courts and those who use them.
In the end, I see plenty of competition and no effort by the SEC to undermine it.

The SEC makes it sound like LSU is doing something new and different that is on a different level than what everyone else is doing. Then, the Louisiana AG makes is sound like a bunch of old guys in a retirement home are just skipping their meds and screaming at clouds.
