Bama was better during the 91-96 than Florida. Our 1992 team was one of the best ever. We spanked a scary Miami team that was supposedly the best ever.

Absurd take. Since 2000 LSU has been to 9 national championship games. 7-2 for titles.

In the 80-90’s LSU made it to Omaha 10 times winning only 4.

Idk man, I hate sticking up for Florida but in that very specific 6 year time frame it's pretty clearly Florida imo.

Strong run, but way too many gaps between titles.

SEC titles in 2001 and 2003.... then 3 consecutive seasons without one.

Another title in 2007.... then 3 consecutive seasons without one.

I'd still sneak them in here. They belong.

Because of one 1996 NC team? Our 1992 team is considered the best defense in football ever, and we beat the unanimous number one team in football Miami for the NC.

Statistically it’s very close. If Florida has an edge it’s not by much. Gene stallings had us rolling pretty good.

1991 we were 11-1 but UF was the SEC champion with a worse record because they did beat us week 2. We won 10 straight and should have played Miami’s that year for the NC.

Same in 1994, we were 12-1 but UF was SEC champions because they beat us 24-23 in the SECCG. They were not good but they did win. They had a much worse record and that made us end up having to play Ohio State Big 10 champions which was trash. We thumped them and finished with the one loss by 1 point.

We should have won 3 NC’s during the 90’s.

But I give bama the edge because we beat Florida in the first SECCG.

Since full integration:

1. Bama (obviously a giant gap between them and everyone else)

And before integration, also there was a big gap between Bama and everyone else. Bama could beat you with white boys or black boys, pick one.

For instance, other than Minnesota and Yale, Bama is the only team to do a 3-peat in national championships from '64-'66.

LSU is never a dominant program, even in baseball to some extent. They just have an insane knack for getting hot and winning titles. It's like catching lightning in a bottle, but they keep doing it.

Expounding on the baseball piece, LSU has been to Omaha 20 times and won it all 8 times. 40% of the time that LSU has been to Omaha, they've won it all.

Compare that to someone like Texas, who has made Omaha 39 times and won 6 titles. That's only 15%, and still pretty high compared to many.

In football, LSU has made the CFP once and won it all. They made the BCS national championship 3 times and won it twice.

LSU fans talk about their prowess in the post season, but always leave out basketball for some reason. You have 4 appearances in the Final 4 and you have gone 0-4 in those games and they have all been double digit losses. Even though they don't play them any longer, you have also gone 0-2 in third place games.

Mark Richt won 2 SEC titles in 15 years.

But didn’t they average going to the SEC championship every three years under Richt?

Yeah, he kept Georgia relevant and always in the hunt but was not able to create a dynasty.

2. Ole Miss during the Vaught years Ole Miss had 6 SEC titles between 1947-1963, but too much time in between some of those to be considered "King". Their best stint was a short-lived 4-year stretch from 1960-1963 in which they won 3 SEC titles... but 4 years isn't long enough IMO.
And the HC that gave them their very best chance of this ever happening again just told them to frick right off.

He gone, along with the OC, QB Coach, RB Coach, TE Coach, OWR Coach, IWR Coach, S&C Coach and the GM. (Plus a few others)

RebelBearSharK ( ) fans be really mad and butthurt and will be that way for a long time.

It will be worse after Peg Leg Pete starts to flame out in Year 2 and the whole thing starts to resemble Matt Luke 2.0.
