Its still a smaller and less impressive park than most of the SEC so lets get that out of the way real quick before everyone says it.

BUT I am happy for the dawgs. It was needed. I hope more is coming down the road even after phase 2 next year.

What hurt you more: 30-15 or 22-19?

Word on the street is it may not be done in time for the season opener, and definitely won’t be done in time for the preseason scrimmages and practices

Apparently they are working around the clock to get it done starting this week

That is no bueno.

It looks like most of the changes are happening down the LF line. Anything major on the other side? Are there still houses/backyards overlooking the outfield?

Any money spent on College Baseball is money well spent. It's the most under leveraged of the big three.

It's baseball, who cares?

Just find some high school stadium around Athens to play in if it's not ready. It's not a sport UGA fans care about all that much. It'll take however long it takes.

I'm surprised with bothered to do anything at all. Figured it would be more like our basketball arena that we haven't bothered with in decades and care more about how it works for the rodeo than we do for actual basketball games.

You’re missing out. I’m more excited about a slate of SEC baseball than any other sport.

I've been to tons of UGA sporting events outside of football. They're enjoyable experiences.

But I don't really CARE about the results except for football. I had a great time at a SC/UGA game in Athens a few years ago for Baseball. The tailgating was great, hung out with cool fans of both UGA and SC. Talked some trash and had some fun.

UGA lost. Didn't really matter to me. Had drinks with SC fans after the game and shot the shite.

Because... it was baseball. I didn't actually care what happened in the game.

It's not that way with football for me. When UGA loses I'm cranky. I'm definitely not getting drinks with fans of the other team. The game itself just doesn't matter that much in baseball or any sport other than football.

I think that's pretty typical for most UGA sports fans. We may enjoy watching other sports... but we don't actually CARE like we do with football.
