Just rotate between SC State, The Citadel, Coastal, etc

Teams do this for a variety of reasons.
1. To help the smaller schools make money.
2. To give their players a break from the beating they take week after break.

Before this year, Frenso State has not had a winning season since 2013.

But Bama fans will prop them up because their schedule sucked this year.

Guess what it did not matter. Bama made the playoffs with a shitty schedule while not winning the conference or beating a team in the regular season that ended up in the top 15.

State is at least a little better in 18 than 17

Kansas State-solid P5 team

La. Tech and ULL - solid G5 teams (should win comfortably but you can’t sleep on these teams either)

Stephen F Austin- tune up game to start the season.

So I think much improved from last year.

2019- KState, ULL, USM not bad there along with Abilene Christian (crap game)

Meh...MTSU had a winning season by winning their bowl game. There are worse non-p-5 teams they could schedule.

Any time you schedule FSU OOC, you don't have to excuse your schedule. there are other teams that do a whole lot worse.

The schedule talk doesn't bother me. UGA, UF and South Carolina are playing more P5 schools OOC than most other P5 programs.

I agree with you there actually. I think scheduling hard outside of one good OOC game doesn't make sense under the current format.

Florida fan I'd be mad.

Be mad we scheduled an FCS team that wasn't an FCS team at the time of the scheduling? I'll pass.

LSU has Miami, La Tech, and Rice.

Pretty damn solid.

Eta:

And southeastern. Missed that. At least it’s an LA team.

I believe you missed my point. I want all FCS removed.
It's bullshite that any SEC team would schedule one.
It wasn't a dig at Auburn it's a dig at the SEC for allowing it to continue.

But getting and staying a couple of games north of .500 for more than a year or two isn't too much to ask is it?

I get what you are saying but it's a zero sum game, there's always going to be bad teams, is it really surprising that it's consistently the teams that have more disadvantages than the others (Vandy for example)

2-2 in those games. LA Tech is tough

Really?

Bama was shite on all year for a weak schedule because they opened with FSU for our OOC opponent.

Hell, I just looked up a few posts and there's another shite bomb about Bama weak arse schedule.

I seriously hope Stricklin puts an end to this shite. It's annoying for fans to go those games. Almost no excitement.

To be fair, UMass almost beat UTk. They will probably be more challenging of a game than GT.

Does Florida get to play a 13-game regular-season schedule, to make up for only playing 11 gms this past season??
