After Drink surged to (-105) yesterday, Florida Coaching odds were removed from sporsbooks. Mizzou has zero odds to make SEC Ship or CFP.

Let’s go! About as perfect as we could hope for so far. All we need now is 1) Lane stays 2) LSU governor fumbles the hire 3) Sark to the NFL

I'm not buying it. Even an incompetent stooge like Stricklin would have enough spatial awareness to understand that a move like that would SERIOUSLY frustrate the lion's share of supporters of the program. He has to realize that he has almost no good will left, he just wouldn't do something like this, he just can't.

Is it better than their last four decisions? Yes

Is it a mediocre-as-frick hire and destined to maintain the status quo? Also yes, lmfao

I think a melt for Drink is unwarranted

I get ya and feel the same way… dont really want him at LSU…. But definitely not a melt-worthy hire IMO. It’s a logical/decent/safe hire

First thing, take off your purple and gold glasses a put yourself in a prospective coach’s shoes. LSU just fired a guy for winning 10,10 and 9 games the last 3 years in the most competitive conference outside the NFL. On top of that you have the governor of Louisiana telling everyone that will listen that the days of sweet contracts are history.

Yeah, coaches will be climbing over each other to join that shite show.

You would have to lock him up to get him to spend more than a couple days in Baton Rouge.

It's none of those things. Perhaps optically it's "safe" to some, but it absolutely isn't logical. It's a disastrous fit, and it'll like ruin his stock, just like it ruined Napier's, and cause us to be doing this all over again in 3 to 4 years.

I will tell you that I would be shocked based on what I'm hearing (and not hearing) at this point out of the AD.

optically Napier was considered a “”safe” hire by many

That’s literally 1 to 2 odds about as low as you get on a future type bet. The books pulled it because someone has the info maybe not Drink but he was the odds on favorite :p

Sure. If you want to get fired in 3-4 years.
