Ding ding ding we have a winner. Conferences either need to be 10 teams or 16 teams. Anything in between just makes for tough getting scheduling correct not just during this Covid year.

An Auburn fan complaining about playing 3 teams from their division as well as Georgia (which Auburn says they have to play every year) is rich.

I didn't take it as OP complaining. I took it as him saying to Florida - quit complaining, we do that every year. Well maybe he was complaining a bit, but still, he does have a point.

Auburn22 If we did away with permanent cross division opponents, AU wouldn't have to play Georgia every year!

I'm sure Little Nicky was bitching just as loudly about having to play UF.

Our issue is simply we shouldn't get Bama and LSU if Georgia doesnt as well. That's like Bama getting Florida and Georgia and LSU getting Florida and South Carolina and calling it even.

So LSU would play both Georgia and Florida in the same season for the second time in 3 years?

We want to play ga every year. Most Auburn fans would love to play Ga, Fl and Tn every year. I am not complaining it should be that way.

LSU posters have been running their mouths for years about "we will play anybody anytime anywhere".

Well?

Either you are going to play anybody anytime anywhere or y'all are pussies.

Which is it?

Florida has a point. It isn't fair that a team can dodge the best teams while another gets stuck playing the projected 4 best teams. Conferences were too big at 12 teams, 14 is just silly.

I agree, the blame lies though in the TSO game. Thanks to that we are stuck with boring/mediocre series like Carolina and Aggie and unfair schedules. Get rid of permanent opponents. Bama and Tennessee can schedule a non conference game if they so much need each other when they aren’t in the conference schedule.

I'm all for it if everyone else does too. The only way for true equitable scheduling...let's go back to 10 teams and then we can just have a 9 game conference schedule.

Might as well have the Big 6 play each other. Which might be fairest in all this.

One of these is not like the other.

Texas AM should not be mentioned in the same sentence as UGA, Bama and LSU.

aTm is garbage.

Thank heavens I'm not the ONLY one who thinks this.
I really like our ten team conference. We got to play everyone more frequently. Heck, with ten teams in the conference and a 12 game regular season schedule, we could play every conference team and still have three OOC games. That would be wonderful!
