That’s a redneck take. It’s part of the rivalry process. If you don’t want someone to plant a flag, BEAT THEM IN THE GAME!!!
Grown men getting into fights over a stupid flag is the epitome of this thin skinned feminized generation. A little stoicism goes a long way.

Maybe show some class and not disrespect a school after you win a game.
Those days are long gone bro.

So they should just be able to do what they want after they win a game? Haha. I guess you won the game on the field so anything goes. Dumb

Baker showed everyone how its done, run around the circumference displaying your colors then veer to midfield.
When he did his plant he was all alone out there for his iconic pose.
I am surprised it took several years to catch on but now the rest of the college football world wants to look as cool as Mayfield.
Up in Columbus the pepper sprayers are going to get a hard look by the OSU Police to see exactly who was doing that, their own guys or the outside help they bring in for games.
As for the UT guy who says flag planting on the T logo is the equivalent of jump-starting the Civil War, mighty big talk for an anonymous inner webs guy.

The sport is football, not flag planting.
I think all of that nonsense should be banned, including ripping up turf (here's looking at you FSU), stripping hedges, etc., etc.
Play the game, celebrate when you win, but no flag planting stupidity or vandalism.

Yep. The game is 60 minutes.
The on field block parties after the game are fricking stupid. If the players and coaches can't control themselves, then the conferences will be forced to take strong measures against it.

quote:aggy playing dirty on defense last night caused a few minor scuffles throughout our game. First time this season our players have been involved in such.
Ohio State Michigan
Alabama Auburn
Missouri Arkansas
All had some sort of scuffle/fight.
What others?

Just because you won the game doesn't mean you'll win the fight.

Did you forget this?
After Texas defeated Oklahoma, Longhorns players planted a flag at midfield by driving it through Mayfield's jersey, adding fuel to the heated rivalry.

I'm grabbing two helmets as I run through the bench area. One to wear and one to swing as a weapon."
Make sure that's included in your obit the following week.

You go planting a flag on someone's logo in the center of the field, and you should expect a fight. Plant one on the Power
Imagine the amount of ketchup and muster bottles raining down on the field?! Lolz

But the team getting planted on just got their arse-whipped for the last 60 minutes. The flag was already symbolically planted in the result of the game
Well that was football. Now we're talking about fighting. If I beat you in a game of chess and then I go tell your kids I'm their daddy now I don't think "well he had the opportunity to show them he wasn't our daddy on the chess board" is a reasonable response and you wanting to kick my arse would be warranted.

It's still fricking weird using Mayfield's jersey.
I am not against flag planting, or even the jersey itself. But using Mayfield's jersey specifically just lets him win.
Use ANYBODY else, and it's not weird IMO

Was there a big fight after the Kentucky game?
I heard Louisville players tried to plant a Papa John's flag on the Kroger logo.

What a stupid take. Maybe show some class and not disrespect a school after you win a game. It’s 100% meant to disrespect the other team. The schools doing this should be fined because it will start a brawl every time.
Sounds like something a team without a rival would say.
They're rivals. I'm okay with some disrespect. It's still nothing compared to what some rivals did to each other years ago and what built these matchups into what they are today.
