Yup, it's been mentioned that it may not be a bad strategy for A&M to self-report some violations with tolerable punishments so they can terminate for cause.
Otherwise they're going to pay a massive sum of money. His buyout, IIRC, doesn't drop below $20M until after the 2029 season.
