Evidently, when sips are coming off a 5-7 season including home losses to Baylor and Iowa State they submerge themselves in Aggie internet rumors on an LSU fansite.

A&M is 2-12 in their last 14 bowl games.

Why do we want them again?

Finebaum being an a-hole? C'mon, get real...

IF expansion is inevitable, I think aTm is a good choice, they would bring a good TV market with them, and as much as y'all hate to admit it, it looks like their program may be turning around and on the way to becoming a decent program again.

I want the aggies to win the day so that Texas too can break away from the Baylor/Tech ball & chain

Only way that will happen is if Texans got rid of all the top politicians in Texas that attended Baylor or Texas Tech. Good luck with that.

McElroy, it's just Baylor. Tech will likely end up in the Pac-12. They won't put up too much of a fight.

And the lege is out for over a year so it's open to make a move without too much political pressure. Besides Perry is only concerned with his presidential campaign

ETA: and Baylor doesn't have the political pull they used to in the 90's

I think Tech going solo to the Pac is a 50/50 shot at best. The elite academic schools like Cal/Stanford/USC/UCL could stomach a shitburger tier 3 school like Tech if it got 2 prominent research universities like Texas and A&M but they will be very resistant to Tech by themselves. Especially since it is a shaky claim at best that Tech can fully deliver all of the major Texas TV markets. If Tech doesn't get a Pac home, their politicians will go nuts as well.

Big Kat, I think these are two of your worst points. This is not an issue that gets hashed out on the floor of the legislature, this gets dealt with in backrooms, on the phone and in bars over drinks. This is about threats, grand-standing and political posturing and that goes on regardless of when the legislature is in session. As for Perry, with his Presidential run coming up, the last thing he wants is a lot of pissed off people. He can live with the status quo but this thing blowing up does him no good.

The Oregon schools aren't exactly knocking it out of the park with academics.

And I'm tired of debating the political bullshite. The Ag side that has sources is saying politics will not be an issue. I'll believe them ivermectin your god awful blog
