JP, I've heard it from a few trusted people and also Ag Websider owner David Sandhop tweeted it not long after I made that post. I hope I'm not his source!

That's a joke BTW, Sandhop has good connections. I think Luicci said the same. Not positive of the top of my head

BigKat, where you getting that number from? I could definitely see an increase from $17 to $22/24, but $34 mil?!?

I too have seen reports over 30 per.

The landscape has changed dramatically since the SEC deal with ESPN for 3rd tier rights was last inked in 08. Since the SEC's contract, the ACC, Big 10 and PAC 12 have all signed new deals. If the PAC12's deal (3 billion over 12 at roughly 21 per school) is any indication of how much the SEC is looking to profit off a renegotiation, it's plausible the 30 mil per number could be eclipsed.

For those that missed the F-Baum segment today

It was a good show today. Texas will be the ending loser if Big 12 breaks up and they go independent and super conferences emerge. Somebody made a good point, "who will Texas schedule for games? There's only so many UL-Monroes you can play. They will be the new Boise State." Many teams will stay away from Texas because of this stuff going down.... They deserve it too.

I like how people burn themselves in an attempt to not be burned by others.

It's about money. Not recruiting. Would you like to double your income?
