I don’t think anyone needs a series win more than State right now. Vandy, A&M, and LSU (may just need to avoid the sweep) are pretty hungry too.

Ole Miss, Arkansas, and Georgia just need to keep working to solidify a national seed.

Good luck to those on the bubble.

We need a sweep and for Arkansas to lose.

Even though another co-western division champ banner would look nice in oxford

State will manage to take one. It's at home gives State one.

One win for Vandy this weekend might be enough for the NCAAs but I'd be feeling much better with two.

We need to sweep Auburn, and then do what we normally do under Paul, and win the SEC tourney.

State wins one our RPI will be top 30 we should be in. Win 2 we are a lock.

Get swept we will need to win a couple in the SEC tourney.

Does State make it to Hoover if they get swept?

Kentucky needs two to feel better for the host spot. I am hoping to take 2 in Nashville.

LSU cannot afford to lose the series. If they lose the series and have an RPI in the high 40s, they have to win games in Hoover. All 4 of those teams you listed except A&M cannot afford to lose their series as they have borderline RPIs to begin with. A&M, even with their RPI in the teens, can't afford to finish with 13 or fewer losses in the conference if they want to feel comfortable heading to the SECT. LSU was left out in 2011 with an RPI of 22 and a 13-17 SEC record.

We play each other....both can’t win 2 this weekend. However, neither might take 1, since the weather calls for rain the next 7 days, soooooo will be interesting to see what happens if the series is canceled

I know past teams have gotten in with only 13 SEC wins and a decent RPI, but 29-26 is a no go for me. When A&M did it, we were 30-25 then went 2-2 in Hoover with wins over a very highly ranked Vandy. When Auburn did it they were 34-22. LSU missed it with an RPI of 21 and a record of 36-20. I have no damn idea how they missed it. The committee must have had a hard on for conference record that year or just didn't like to look of missing the SEC tourney and making the NCAA tourney.

State's case is most similar to A&M. Good luck.

They may get at least 5 innings in tonight buts it’s scattered thunderstorms all through the evening. Friday and Saturday looking like washouts right now but it has been a weird week of off and on rain in Athens and overcast skies so who knows what will end up happening. Would be surprised if we got all 3 games in but maybe they squeeze in two officials

There is enough evidence when I would expect A&M to still be in at 13, but I would not feel comfortable.

the baseball team actually practices in there when it’s raining but something tells me it’s outfield dimensions would be a little too friendly

I wouldn't be surprised if they only get 2 games in.

I desperately want a national seed. Already got super regional tix locked down, I so so very badly want to have postseason baseball in athens again.

Let's say we go 1-1 against arky and the 3rd game isn't played. Are we basically dialed in or do we need to win some in hoover?

If we go 1-1 I think we have a good case but a win or two in Hoover would be nice insurance

LSU may need to win two with an RPI currently around 48. If LSU only wins one, it probably needs to win its first game in the SEC tourney.

LSU had an RPI in the mid-20s in 2011 with a 13-17 SEC record, and the Tigers were left home. A&M's RPI will probably drop if it is swept or loses two of three. Aggies may need two of three to feel safer.
