Too bad, A&M at #19 in final CFP poll.

UF and LSU also finished ahead of Georgia in the Coaches poll.

Georgia and Florida tied at 7? But they played.

LSU #6, Florida/UGA tied #7

this fits. All with 3 losses, 1-1 against each other.

LSU: big win at home over UGA, close loss on road at Florida, solid Fiesta Bowl (forget "UCF backup QB vs depleted LSU defense", LSU's boring offense crushed that game).

UGA: SEC East champ, big win over Fla, big loss at LSU, stunk up the Sugar.

Fla: close home win over LSU, bad loss to UGA, beat the snot out of Michigan in the Peach.

Overall, slight edge to LSU.

I am unsure as to how this conclusion was drawn.

Also, Clemson beat Bama worse than they beat ND. Thus...

Except UGA beat UK, LSU did not play UK, and UF lost to UK at home.

You should watch the game. That'll clear things up.

Edit So Mullen already has more wins over teams that finished ranked in 1 year at Florida than he did in 9 at Miss St.

So basically what the playoff should have been in the first place.

... and?

I listed the 3 teams' head to head, and their bowls. The bowl is clearly why Florida and UGA are tied, instead of UGA being ahead. UGA finished with 2 straight losses, including a loss to an underdog in the Sugar.

Unless you are suggesting UK should be in that group too? They had the bad loss to 5-7 Tennessee, that haunted them. Florida had the bad loss to 8-5 Missouri, LSU had OT loss @ #16 A&M (and the bad loss to #2 Alabama).

Georgia lost to #2 Bama, #6 LSU and #9 Texas, but finished with a 2 game losing streak.

I don't know... people are shitting on Notre Dame, but they didn't really lose to Clemson any worse than Alabama did (less offense but kept the score closer). They beat #14 and #15. Ohio State beat 14, 17, and 19, got raped by unranked Purdue, and then beat #13 Washington in the bowl.

You can't let Purdue smoke you and expect to get into the playoffs vs undefeated teams.

Yes, it's their worst loss. But I was referring to head-to-head between the 3 teams; LSU smokes UGA and loses close to Fla. UGA smokes Fla and gets smoked by LSU. Fla wins close against LSU, gets blown out by UGA.

LSU, in that 3 way, is the only team not to get beaten bad.

The killer for florida was that bad loss to Missou. The UK and UGA losses weren't bad rankings-wise.

As a Florida fan, I am fine with both the AP and Coaches rankings. I think UF, UGA and LSU are evenly matched and any of these teams could beat each other on any other day.

Ohio State also finished the season with three championships, which is three more than Notre Dame. Common opponents goes to Ohio State as well.

Expect? Who said that? I didn't. I'm well aware of how the shite system works. I'm not talking about what did happen in the current system. I'm talking about what should have happened in a better system.

Believe it or not I knew you were going there next.

I should have made a random post stating that. Damnit.
