Resumes are similar. A&M played Clemson while UK played UL. Switch those games and you can switch the record and rankings. It's no big deal.

To be fair, UK pulled an Alabama in the Tennessee game. I get the loss to Georgia and I get the close game in College Station but am still in wonder at what happened in Knoxville.

A&M did the same thing in Auburn for the 4th quarter. We dominated the game and yet somehow found a way to lose.

I give zero fricks about 6th or 7th. If it was 5th or 6th I would be miffed a little, because top 5 is a different level than top 10.
At the end of the day you are a runt of a program if you are happy with anything but #1. So top 10 is great and never a bad season, but there is only one winner and anything less should not be the goal.
Hopefully we are ranked outside the top 10 for 2019 pre-season rankings to give us some extra motivation.
