FEAR is Sinking In, Saturday is Looming Closer every Day

Expect anxiety to increase.
If you are older than 40, keep an eye on your blood pressure and heart rate. Check your Nitro pills expiration date.
Mississippi isn't known for fast ambulance response, keep that in mind.
You probably feel OK now, but by Friday evening, sleep is really going to be hard.
Sat morning, eat breakfast even though your stomach will be in knots, you don't want to miss a meal before a very stressful day.
We don't need any medical emergencies.
Be safe, be healthy, and remember, many people learn to deal with their ex in adult rational ways.

War, losing family members, having kids, changing jobs...
Those are life changing events, this is a game played by kids (that most people on this board wouldn't let in their homes) and have no control over or anything to do with besides cheering...

The acceptance phase is the last in the grief process.
They’ve been stuck in a loop between the first two phases, denial and anger, I’m not sure if they’ll ever get past this.
Maybe after this weekend they CAN move on.

For real, it’s amazing how serious folks get about a football game. Win or lose nothing changes in my life. I can appreciate the banter but some of you folks need to get a grip

Baw, this is too much. I'm over 40 and the older I get the more relaxed I get over games. Life goes on and it's incredibly difficult to win a national championship so what I hope for is just competitive games and a chance for the playoffs. Get there and I'm happy. More than that is just lagniappe.
Live life, enjoy your wife and kids, spend time with aging parents if you're lucky enough to still have them, and look at the game as entertainment.
I was like so many here in years past. I used to get so worked up over games and the excitement but now I've learned to live and let live. My anxiety and excitement has no bearing on the outcome of the game.

Nah. Most Ole Miss people I know have the correct perspective. It's a game played by kids for entertainment purposes. Win or lose, we all go back to our farms or offices and get back to work on Monday. And LSU fans all go back to the drive thru and welfare lines.
