I was always amazed at how perfectly they could direct you to park your car with absolutely no space wasted. 21 cars parked in a space the size of 3 of my driveways, lol.

I used to love our Jackson and Little Rock games with Ole Miss back in the day. I was just a young tot when we played those games with Ole Miss. A lot of good memories and I can still smell the bourbon in the air of both venues when those games were played.

So what? Lots of us play there in “neutral games” which is the topic of question here. So since the sec is so far north and west that it includes the yankee town of Norman we can now include it in the sec.

In the future a major new hospital will be on the site of the stadium. And the teaching facilities, classrooms, etc will largely move to Millsaps when that school eventually closes.
This is like the 30-50 year horizon

You didn't live until attending a football game at Legion Field. It wasn't so much the game itself, but the parking in the hood neighborhoods surrounding Legion Field. The walk back to your car in the evening wondering if your car stereo was going to still be there was one of the dominant thoughts going through one's mind. The other one was trying to remember where you actually parked your car. Lol

Don’t think Jackson State is going for 30-35K stadium. I think that’s been the issue.

Was at the State/LSU game that evening in 86. (LSU band traveled for the game, therefore I got to go.) The Mississippi State and LSU mascots got into an actual fight on the field before the game. The LSU mascot was on crutches due to a leg injury from earlier in the week and during their kerfuffle the Bulldog mascot threw what looked like a fire extinguisher at him. He whacked the State mascot over the head with one of his crutches several times before it was finally broken up. (And this was on the field while the teams were still warming up before the game!)
Gotta love the comradery and respect SEC schools have for each other across the board!

In the 1970’s and 1980’s the Vet in Jackson was a great stadium and I had a lot of fun there. Saw many double headers with State and Ole Miss playing afternoon/night games or vice-versa. Jackson was a great city in those days. That said, games on campus today are much better overall with amenities, stadium comfort and the beauty of each campus. Plus access with better highways, hotels and restaurants etc. are much better in the present day.
In 1973, I saw a college/high school double header at the Vet. State/Ole Miss in the afternoon and that night the Capital Bowl featuring Meridian High against Jackson Murray High (Meridian won).
Also in 1979, Florida/State and USM/Ole Miss played a DH. These are in addition to the aforementioned DH’s.
As I said it was a lot of fun to see these games.
Legion Field was cool as well although the neighborhood was terrible.
Superdome is a fun venue as well!! Have seen a number of games there over the years and have never been disappointed.

Arrowhead was a great site for the Border War until 2010 when the kU fans stopped showing up.

I will say our trip to Gillette Stadium in Foxboro was awesome. State played UMASS there. All chairback seats and ample room between rows. Very fan friendly and atmosphere was good as well.

Bryant-Denny would have been upgraded either way.
