Maybe about 60% of Louisville consist of Louisville fans. The rest of the city and state are UK fans

Everything from Nashville to the North Carolina border has a strong UT presence.

The explosion of metro Nashville has brought a lot of transplants into the state so you'll see several teams well represented in the area, but that's not surprising considering there's over 2 million people there now. Lots of people in and out from Southern Kentucky and Northern Alabama. Alabama & UK basketball fans are dug in pretty thick. Quite a few other teams have a large alumni presence as well with the job opportunities available post graduation.

East TN (From the plateau to the mountains) is all VOL

West TN is a mixed bag. Lots of UT fans, but also lots of Ole Miss, State, Arkansas, Bama & Memphis fans. Obviously even more so in the Memphis area.

Up until about 2008, Auburn was the largest school in the state for numerous decades. We might have more actual alumni now but that will probably end in the next few years because UA has dramatically increased their student enrollment over the last 13 years.

I meant leave as in realizing you were spinning your wheels in Texas and then choosing to ally with Southern schools to boost your brand vicariously.

I regret the move and wish we would ally with tcu, tech, Baylor, and a school that made a conference network impossible.

It sucks being here with these sec nobodies.

The SEC really should've taken Baylor or TCU, they have much more relevance in FB in recent history. TTU doesn't have much, but they just made the NCAA basketball championship game.

A&M is 41-6-2 against these teams in the last 40 years.

Edit: and A&M has more wins than either of these teams since joining the toughest division in football.

That said...its probably only about 10-12 percent of people who are fans of UF I'd say. A lot of out of towners.

It's a question that will sometimes get tacked on to larger state political polls.

It usually comes out to be around 22-25% of the Florida population identify as Gator fans. That's pretty sizeable for a state this large. That would be somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 Million fans just in Florida, which is larger than the total population of many SEC states.

TCU finished #3 in 2014, narrowly missing the playoff, better than any A&M season since WW2. Baylor finished 7th that season. TCU won 10+ games every season from 2002 to 2017. Aggy just has 2012 as far as nationally relevant seasons in the postwar era

Oh yeah Lafayette is certainly an outlier. After living in br, the lack of LSU support around Lafayette was bizarre to me. Even in other college towns around the state, you’ll see LSU right next to whatever college. McNeese & LSU for example. But around Lafayette, ifs more of a “frick LSU” attitude. So stupid. The cowboys have fans everywhere. That’s just the type of team they are.

Those t shirt fans populate this message board. Probably 10-20% of these baws are actual LSU graduates.

Not surprising that an a&m fan/alum would say that. Let me guess, you hate Texas fans for the same reason? more people who aren’t grads support the flagship football team in their respective states. Leave that inferiority complex stuff in the Big12 bud. That ain’t how things are done in the SEC.

people from surrounding states move to Tennessee to escape abject poverty so I’m sure that skews things.

What a load of horse shite! Some people may move to Tenn. because there's no actual state income tax(excl.the Hall Tax), but only the "haves" are interested in that.

I wouldn't say that, the diehard ULL people with little brother syndrome are a small minority, just very vocal . Most people are lukewarm about LSU but will pull for them if on TV

Tcu failed to win 10 games 3 times from 2012 and 2016.

Like I said, A&M has won more games since joining the sec than tcu has in the big 12.

Yep TCU's 2014 season was better than any by A&M in the modern era. They've won 11+ games three times since joining the Big 12 and they are the 10th winningest team nationally this century. TCU has 2 Big 12 championships in 8 seasons, A&M had one in 14 seasons. Insulting to the Frogs to compare them to A&M

Tcu’s best wins were ole miss and Kansas State who ended the year with 9 wins each and ranked 17 and 18.

A&m’s best wins were bama and Oklahoma, who ended up with 13 and 10 wins, and ranked 1 and 15.

As for their winning percentage “this century”, tcu has played over half of the time in the WAC+CUSA+MWC. In this time frame they have never shared a conference, let alone division, with a team that has competed for an NC.

Louisiana: I'd guess about 10% of people are rabid LSU fans. The majority will support LSU, but aren't as committed.

EASILY 80% of this state supports LSU. Gtfoh
