Vandy- started pitcher never started before. Played 25 players total.
aTm- played 15 different players.
MS State- Vitello played 18 players total
Vandy- Amick(3rd), Stark(C), Chapman(DH), and Curley(SS)didn’t start today, got day off. Amick did DH for the 1st time though, but he’s 0-16 in Hoover so far. Pitched Phillips(mid week guy), and Zander. Zander was a mid week till Russell got hurt.
You can clearly see that Vitello has been using Hoover to get kids reps and rotating players to give kids rest headed into next weekend. We can’t help other teams can’t take advantage of it. We prolly will pitch 8 different pitchers tomorrow. We still have Loy that can pitch, but he’s a freshman and mid week guy. Vitello has treated Hoover like mid week games.

Playing the Vols is fine, the idea Johnson got himself tossed because at the time they might play is what got the downvotes.

He didn’t use Causey or Beam till last Thursday and Friday when it was their normal time in the rotation. And then Causey didn’t even pitch his full amount. He put all his pitchers on a hard pitch count the first 2 games.
Russell pitched for 1st time in 2 months
Sneed got 1st start of career as a Vol Wednesday.
But let’s gloss over the fact Vitello has roasted over 30 players last 2 games. And it’s been a different lineup every game.

Everyone is using a lot of different players and pitchers, that isn't unique to Vitello.
