The hearing on Thursday is far from the final word, although, as a practical matter, if the local judge unexpectedly found some clarity once he heard the other side of the argument, it would be difficult for the players to find a way out of that in a timely fashion. If, however, numb nuts goes hometown and rules for LSU (who is the “real party in interest” here), there are still several moves left for the SEC and its schools.

Like the Sorsby matter, this overreach has united college athletics against one school that is going rogue, and, unlike Texas Tech, isn’t even stirring up this shite storm out of something like necessity. Ultimately, the pressure against this will be too much.

Your school has already signed and rostered a former NBA player.

How are so many of you completely oblivious to reality?

I’m sure he is. Lane loves scenarios where he gets to pawn off responsibility for his own actions.

What the frick is lsu even trying to accomplish? Piss off the conference and every member school for a few depth pieces?

They’ve sold their soul for the same season that Brian Kelly would have given them.

Kiffin has already made it pretty clear.

quote:

"There's a lot of parts of this I don't like,” Kiffin said. “I don't think professionals should come back to college sports and college football."

quote:

Kiffin told McAfee he’s unsure where conferences can draw the line with lawsuits and temporary restraining orders for eligibility, with the conference allowing players to play with TROs for other eligibility situations.

"I think you're going to get in an interesting situation where, as a conference, you're saying 'We're going to follow this court order but these kids that got that other court order, we're going to say, 'No you can't,’” Kiffin said.

Eh should’ve made these rules before all the court cases. Hell, even before Chambliss’ case months ago. Might as well let it play out

So does this mean Kiffin is willing to burn down LSU’s sports program to achieve his belief, and LSU will let him?

Everyone on this board is monitoring the possibility of former NFL players returning.

He hates it so much he is going to be the first one to bring a former NFL player back to the SEC. Excuse me, 2 former NFL players. Would have been 3 if Pyborg hadn’t been picked up by the Chiefs.

I get you’re an LSU fan but you don’t believe this crap and you know Kiffin is lying. If he didn’t like it he would not be taking the players nor would he have had these players sue the NCAA.

From Ross Dellenger, native of Louisiana and former LSU beat writer?

Who also claims to be from Biloxi and the Miss Gulf Coast that graduated from state? Served as a writer for State, Mizz, Auburn and LSU? That Ross Dellenger?

Yes that Ross Dellenger.
He is not and never has been an LSU fan.

I don't believe that he "had the players sue". There are a lot of non-football athletes involved in these cases. It isn't just two or three football players trying to come to LSU.

Why would Lane have a bunch of non football players sue the NCAA?

LSU is the plaintiff or defendant in which of these cases?
