Depends on want you consider starters. If you want to use a base 4-3, LSU returns 16 starters. If you want to use a base 4-2-5, LSU returns 17.
Either way, it's a lot.
ETA: I'm being generous here by counting Dillon Gordon as a starter too. He missed 2/3 of the 2015 season due to injury.

I know LSU will be very good next year with a slight chance at being in the playoff. But until we beat Bama, they are the favorites in the West, not LSU. If we beat them, I'll change my mind.

Nice pick. I would pick Bama but only because Brandon Harris is leading the offense. The tigahs definitely deserve the hype. We know the defense will improve. If Harris grows up then L5U could be a playoff team.
