I have to post my opinion on the recent cuts that happened at ESPN. I hated seeing good journalists that excel in the field get let go while employees that are overpaid for what they bring or are young females in short skirts that are bargain employees keeping their jobs.Steven A is robbing them. Pat M is robbing them. Kendrick P is a hack. It's ridiculous the decisions management makes. They are the true idiots. This time Suzy, JVG, Pollack, and Todd being let go was a travesty. If this management staff continues to be in charge, ESPN will be gone in 5 years. And I say good freeking good bye.

Do you really?

In all seriousness, 99% of these people are over paid. People aren’t watching anymore, and sooner or later the market will regulate itself.

I will applaud Disney’s death. I hope it gets here sooner rather than later.

What we are seeing with SEC sports being leveraged for maximum profit will not turn out well for the average fan that is on this forum.

You’re not wrong. It’s just a matter of time until they have a tranny on Gameday.

He’s a shock jock, apparently he has a good audience whether they like him or hate him. When people quit watching him he’ll be gone.

But that’s just my opinion, I don’t watch the sports shows but I know enough about him to see what he’s doing.

ESPN got away from its core business of sports and ventured into woke agendas. This lost them viewers and the associated income. The people getting canned as usual are not the clowns that hurt ESPN.
ESPN has contracted with the SEC so I hope they survive but in a less arrogant manner.

ESPN is too busy chasing an audience that'll never watch to realize they're going bankrupt. It's a perfect storm of mediocrity and I'm embarrassed our conference is the one thing keeping them alive

Look for the B1G to move in and sweep up the pieces. The B1G going with 3 networks looks more and more like a stroke of genius.

Y’all are gonna be the first ones to go bankrupt, bringing in the Cali schools was a colossally stupid decision

The SEC will be fine. I can’t think of a single game I’d look forward to watching in your group.

ESPN isn’t dying. They’re cutting production costs and diverting it towards broadcasting rights accumulation. They have discovered people will watch it even if the cameramen suck and the commentators are clueless because their team is on the screen.

People will tune in for games and that is it. ESPN has become a very subpar product. I hate that the SEC threw all of our eggs in this one basket.

You're probably applauding Disney's death too soon. Disney is having record revenue and profits.. they're just cost-cutting at ESPN.

If people only tune in for games their ad revenue will drop quite a lot. They used to make their money off of Sportscenter.

Strange that their stock isn’t following along behind these record profits.

They saw an uptick but still down significantly. They are heading the right direction.

Lol. No.

7,000 Disney jobs cut through May. Before ESPN cuts.

Last year I barely watched GameDay after tuning in almost religiously since the 90s. For one, it's too long. 2 hours of coverage before kickoffs would be plenty. Too many "personalities" and too much fluff.

As for any other ESPN programming outside of actual games... haven't watched any in years. I remember growing up when Sportscenter was almost required nightly viewing.
