He’d have trouble standing out in the SunBelt. He doesn’t have the chest

I do know one QB he's better than who was rated higher than him and is sitting in Texas right now.

Taking a freshman that runs from a depth chart to replace a freshman who ran from the depth chart, doesn't seem like the best strategy.

The QB room is set for the next 2-3 years. No need to look at transfers until you get Collins and Hurley on campus and see what they can do.

To be fair to Eli, this poster is speculating. Holstein is a developmental project. His measurables are arguably better than Anthony Richardson. But he has not yet shown that he can be an elite QB. Bama took him to see if with some coaching they could turn him into a beast. That's not going to happen overnight.

Best guess is that with Buchner transferring in, Milroe bails. It will be a Buchner / Simpson battle this fall, with Eli and Lonergan looking to be #3.

Next spring will be interesting when Julian Sayin joins the team. Some think Sayin is the next Bryce Young. Others think he's massively overrated and small.

This much I know - I'd much rather our QB room.

Sounds like Eli has another guy in front of him with Bama now adding Buchner. Currently 5th on depth chart.

If he's 5th on the depth chart there, why would we want him?

It’s good. But I’d like at least 4 scholarship qbs on the roster for next year.

If he’s better than Collins then he’s a take. If Collins is as good or better then you pass. It’s not complicated.

Saban doesnt have time to groom QBs anymore he is in a desperate win now situation with his age looming....if he doesnt win another NC in the next 3 years id say a lot of the Bama faithful will try and push him out

He’s supposed to still be in high school. Hasn’t even started his first season as a college student.

If LSU needs a QB down the road, there will be plenty of options.

Why would we want a 5th string QB from a team with a bad QB room?

If he is better than what we have behind Nuss.

Holstein wasn’t brought in to compete for the top spot at Bama.
He came in to get adjusted, and not to compete gor the starting position.

If he’s got what it takes, he should stand pat, watch the older guys leave and in a year or two be ready to compete for the starting job.

Doesn't surprise me. He ran away from competition in high school.
