Amen to this.

Coaches's livelihoods are on the line so they cannot assume development.

But development happens and as fans we should not assume that current players cannot improve.

Of course. Every minute spent on the portal is less they spend game planning. So on that level yes. But in terms of development and practice, the players are limited in the hours they have to be there so it’s not like they would have practiced longer but for the portal.

I'm not sure I understand Sampson's logic.

We lose our #1 and #3 WRs who were keeping him from PT. Our main returner is great but small stature and likely a more natural #2 receiver.

So with a clear path, NOW I'm going to leave?

If Trump loses, which seems likely, Vance is toast. The party will move on from his cult of personality and Vance will be tainted.

Can't wait until this BS washes out of the college game. It was an understandable decision in 2020 in the midst of the pandemic. But it's been crushing for the HS recruits for four years and watered down the game.
