So, who exactly is he representing? It certainly isnt the USA. He's just talking out of his arse, especially since this administration is about DRILL, BABY, DRILL!

You cannot grant a pardon without specifying a crime. A pardon is only valid for someone who has been convicted.

re: Freeman "vs." BK Isn't the Correct Conversation

I believe the key point is that Brian Kelly (BK) didn’t have the same resources that Marcus Freeman (MF) has now. BK laid the foundation for Notre Dame, and MF is benefitting from that solid groundwork along with the additional resources available today.
Many have discussed this already, but if Notre Dame loses on Monday, MF won’t have accomplished anything more than BK did.
I know many of you may have a negative opinion of Moscona, but the segment where he discusses Brady Quinn's interview is particularly noteworthy. In that interview, Quinn expressed his frustration over Brian Kelly's departure, mentioning that Kelly wanted to go to a place with the necessary resources to win a championship. This statement frustrated Quinn and motivated him to start a collective. It highlights the fact that Kelly lacked the resources he needed, while Marcus Freeman does have them.

Much easier for ND to advance when Kelly was there since “they don’t play anybody”.
ND still doesn't play anybody...Freeman has an unlimited Transfer portal to pull players

Comparing college football during BK's tenure at ND to the present is irresponsible. The landscape of college football has drastically evolved. The introduction of the unlimited transfer portal and NIL has leveled the playing field, enabling ND to acquire players through the transfer portal that they might not have been able to before.
I'm not saying Freeman is better or worse than BK. Freeman is definitely a good coach, but arguing that BK would never have done something he won't have the chance to do again at ND isn't a strong argument.

re: Unpopular question..Besides seeing your team do well on the field, what is benefit of NIL?

You might would have a point if in this particular case the “job” in question is basically 3 years max for most of the players before moving on to an “even bigger corporation” (NFL).
This is why it is essential to find the best organization that can prepare you for the NFL, which many unfortunately are not.

The one time I made a career decision based solely on money, it was a disaster. I was miserable, and within a year, I switched to a company that prioritized my development, challenged me, and supported my growth both personally and professionally.
Recently, I transitioned to a new company due to growth opportunities. Despite taking a pay cut initially, within 1.5 years, I've been promoted and received raises that surpass what I earned after six years at my previous job.
Perhaps this is a lesson young professionals and these athletes need to learn early: true fulfillment and long-term success often come from roles/schools that offer growth and development that is best for you rather than just a higher paycheck.
I know my opinion doesn't count for much but hopefully, it helps answer your first paragraph :dunno:

re: If the 1.5 million offer on our side is true that’s flat out embarrassing

It's unfortunate that Michigan had to offer such a significant amount to attract a player who lives just 30 minutes away.
Do you really believe he's joining for reasons other than the money? There's a stronger argument that he had genuine motivations for coming here to develop and succeed at the next level. Personally, I hope he goes to Michigan, realizes the grass isn't always greener, and then decides to enter the transfer portal. Seems like we do better with Transfer QBs anyway

BK took over a program that had won 3 NCs in the last 20 years under 3 different coaches. LSU was considered a national brand and top tier job in CFB. LSU went 11-11 the 2 years prior to his hiring.
You forgot to mention taking over a program with less than 40 scholarship players....i think this trumps all of the before points....

i would say Kelly took over a worse program than Saban did as well...Kelly has the key pieces in place...just give him some time.
re: It all goes back to recruiting.

I believe the issues trace back to the hiring decisions made when Kelly joined LSU. Letting go of Raymond was a mistake, and appointing Polian as the recruiting coordinator was another misstep. With the right people in place, like Raymond, Baker, and Frank, I think it just reset the clock. I do desire a better OC because the play calling is kind of bland/predictable
As an LSU fan, patience isn’t our strong suit. However, aside from Alabama, we’ve been the most successful team over the past two decades. I think we’re on an upward trajectory with the current players and potential recruits. The 2026 class looks particularly promising talent wise, and I believe the 2026-27 season could be our year; if not for sure the next year to win it all. I believe we have chances to make the playoffs between now and then.

i hate comments like this...it is easy to bet on someone failing... if you are right its a "i told you so" and if you are wrong no body cares about your assertion because they are winning and it goes unnoticed until they do fail and here comes back the "i told you so" person
