Les Miles. He boosted the kids ego so much that they all thought they were good enough to leave after 3 years. It was one of his recruiting strategies

How many times has there been a wise decision to leave early and be drafted in mid to late rounds? Most of those guys are potentially costing themselves tens of millions of dollars by leaving early - assuming they’re returning starters.

Tens of millions of dollars?

If you go in the mid to late rounds, even if you were to have returned to school another year 9/10 times you aren’t going round 1. Maybe you improve a round or two, for most occasions.

I would argue that the extra year of pro ball leads to more career earnings than 1-2 rounds picked earlier a year later. An earlier year of pro ball means one extra year of being paid (you have a finite time to play professionally, might as well maximize it), reaching free agency a year earlier, and not playing an extra year of football for free and risking significant future earnings,

If they wanted to win championships they wouldn’t sign to play for 0.

The amount of money Bama is paying guys means they make more money coming back for a fourth year than taking a rookie contract

Yes, we pay our kids comfortably....I mean not as comfortably as Naz Reid, Tremont Waters, and Javonta Smart..but still our kids do well for themselves.

Y'all compensate with Dodge Charger and getting players out of felony Gun&drug charges, so it all works out.
