Imagine being A&M. They built a stadium for 100k fans and never could get 80k to show up regularly anyway.

We average 100k. Get ya facts straight. Just because poor little OU can’t pay for or sell out an 100k stadium doesn’t mean much.

I'd be all for doing something with seating it's not comfortable in the Swamp at all. I know for a long time you couldn't fit in your seats on big games cause it was 5-8k overcrowded. Now the demand just isn't there. Even if UF is winning with the advancements in TV people stay home more and more. It's a tough sled. We can get 75-85k in easily most games but we aren't Max capacity much anymore.

Luxury boxes are generally corporate owned or very big boosters so their demand will always be very high. I used to buy season tickets to Lightning games in Tampa near the front row and gave them to clients as gifts. So worth the value. Went to games when I wanted and got a huge leg up on competition with them. Would love to eventually do the same with Gator tickets since in Gainesville now.

I figured that was the section my fellow LSU fans sit, they left at half time to beat the traffic. They drive over 4 hours to attend a game. LOL

Gotta prepare for Saban's retirement. All the bandwagon fans will find a new home, and all the fairweather fans will go back to wherever y'all were hiding during the Shula years

My bad, didn’t know you were talking about over a 4 year period. Just out of curiosity , what would have been the interest return on the cost of the expansion over that 4 year period?

The next big wave in stadiums will be removing capacity to add in a more premium experience. Planes are moving more and more towards premium seating, people are willing to pay a little more for a better experience these days.

This is what AU did in BBall. We cut the seats, tightened up the building but made the experience professional quality. I’d pay over premium price to go to that facility just because it’s so efficient, clean and current

It was more of badly needed renovations and addition of premium seating than pure numbers expansion. We were getting 88k at games in 2013 immediately prior to beginning construction. Stated capacity now is 102k.

The highest attendance we’ve ever had was in 2014 when the renovations were half way complete. In spring/summer 2015 we demolished the west side of the stadium and actually reduced capacity with the new construction down to where we are now.

It’s time for every seat to have a seat back, armrests, and a cup holder.

Also, make the seats bigger.

As mentioned before Kentucky reduced the capacity from 67,000 to 61,000 in a stadium renovation in 2015-2016. The primary reason was to add a recruiting room/clubhouse in the stadium which was sorely needed because before we were just throwing plastic tables up in our field house before under Joker Phillips.

Sad just sad
