LSU v. Tulane
Auburn v. Clemson
Georgia v. Clemson
Ole Miss v. Memphis
Alabama v. Penn State
Auburn v. Florida State
Florida v. Miami

These are really the only answers.

Growing up it seemed like we played Memphis every year. As embarrassing as it is to admit I would say that was a "OOC Rivalry."

We haven't played them for three or four years but that starts back up this year.

Now that they're in a BCS conference, I think this is a great move.

To me it seems there would be no upside for Ole Miss to play Memphis. You win, and your supposed to. Lose, and your a joke. You couldn't possibly need it for help in recruiting Shelby County could you? Your already the closest real team to Shelby, and your coach is a former high school coach there.
And I'm saying this as someone that likes U of M.

As in LSU fan, I think we should definitely continue our rivalry with ummm... shoot I had it... can't think of their name now.... you know that team we have always been big rivals with.... oh thats right nobody. Anybody that says Tulane either is really old or just wants a free win every year.

I wish LSU and Tulane would play every other year. Alternate between TS and MBSD.

You've got a point, which is why we dropped them when they were CUSA. Now that they're in the zombie Big East it's at least a BCS win.

And Ole Miss is more or less the SEC team of the Memphis area, so it's a good thing for our fans.

Can that still be said after forcing fans to watch the abortion of a game played in '99 in Liberty Bowl. Yall won, but good god that was a horribly played game. As a student, I got in for free, and swear I overpaid.
While the American Crap Conference is slightly better, it's not much. Seems Ole Miss would have more to gain from keeping the recent series with Tulane. Same shite conference, but gives your fans a vacation, and helps with recruiting.

texas bitched out

If 'texas bitched out' means that they beat Arkansas 52-10 and then y'all canceled the series, then you are right.

quote:

Arkansas is bumping Texas from its 2009 schedule so that the Razorbacks can play Texas A&M in the start of a new series with the Aggies.

The Longhorns and Razorbacks, set to meet Sept. 13 in Austin, announced Friday that their postponed game in Fayetteville might not be rescheduled until 2013 or later.

Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long said that adding Texas A&M to its 2009 schedule gave the Razorbacks 13 games, forcing the school to remove one from its nonconference schedule.

"While it is unfortunate that we will have to postpone the return game in the Texas series, we felt that it was important to seize the window of opportunity to secure a long-term series with Texas A&M," Long said.

Texas holds a 55-21 advantage in matchups with the Razorbacks.

I was trying to think of who UT has played consistently out of conference. These are the FBS teams they have played the most.

Duke (29 times)
Georgia Tech (43 times)
UNC (31 times)
Clemson (19 times)
Memphis (21 times)

With the exception of Memphis, UT has played ACC schools OOC the most. Of those, I would probably like to see them renew UNC or Clemson on a regular basis.

Eh, I have mixed feelings on UF/Miami.

Same. I don't want to give them anything. Especially right now, while UF and FSU are poaching kids from SFL left and right. The fence is coming down, and UF almost fricked it up last year.

stronghorn blackballed all bdf schools from playing Texas A&M and Mizzou to "punish" us.

Aggies dgaf about playing stronghorn now. We already take any recruit from them that we want.

Texas is now SEC territory.

Other than the traditional rivarly game. I see no reason why A&M would play UT again. Yall are finally emerging from their shadow if yall pplayeed and lost yall would be back to being their little brother again.

Bama should get back to playing Notre Dame

What?

Some teams that have played Notre Dame more than Alabama:

LSU: 10 games, .500 record, 8 regular season games.

Tulane: 8 games, ND leads 8-0, all regular season games.

Tennessee: 8 games, .500 record, all regular season games.

Alabama: 7 games, ND leads 5-2, 4 regular season games.

As for LSU, back in 1992, the only OOC teams (not including former SEC team Tulane) in LSU's top ten of most played teams are:

Rice: 54 games
A&M: 45 games
Arkansas: 37 games

We've already incorporated two of our most played OOC rivalries into the conference.

I would say the most attractive OOC series for LSU is probably Texas - but they're too cowardly to schedule the Tigers any more.

I'd like to see LSU and Notre Dame renew their regular, once a decade (at least) home and away series.

I went to a Vandy-Duke football game in the mid-1990s. Its amazing what both programs are now when I think back on that game. Both were so much in the shitter, and so stoked to have the opportunity to actually win a game, that when Vandy did finally beat Duke in that game in Nashville, the students *tore down the goalposts*...then wandered around campus with them confused cuz they weren't used to doing it, before unceremoniously dumping them in the middle of campus where they continued to just lie there overnight cuz nobody else on campus was used to knowing how to dispose of them either.
