Yeah. That was almost as bad as Alabama getting their arse kicked by Utah in the Sugar Bowl a few years back. Except Utah wasn't even a P5 team then.

You poor thing. Bama has more than redeemed itself for that loss. Will UGA under Kirby redeem itself? Time will tell but I doubt it.

How can anyone not understand why he would declare.

-He's physically ready
-Had a break out season
-He's going to blow the combine away
-UGA is RBU, and all NFL scouts will have eyes on him.

probably got a 3rd-4th round grade which is all I would need to declare.

The term P5 didn't exist in 2008.

Yea I don’t know too much about this kid but I would bet he has an amazing combine showing.

Not sure why Ridley is leaving early though. Is he projected to go in the first round or something? Actually now that I think about it, Bama alone has 3 WRs that could go ahead of him next year so it’s probably best for him to leave this year.

OT but can’t believe Herbert chose to come back. Next year is going to be a really good QB draft class. That kid has balls.

Kirby's coaching in the LSU game mind boggles me. Your two starting running backs run it 12 times for 80 yards, you are averaging over 6.5 yards per carry, and you only run them 7 more times in the whole second half.

Seems like shits going downhill at Georgia.

Don't forget Oklahoma, too. And who could forget this priceless moment:

I don't know the families financial situation but I can say there are many Holyfields between Alabama and Georgia. I have hired a couple of and and worked on the same jobsites with a couple more. The man has many kids as does his siblings, and though Evander may be rich, the family as a whole is working class, same as me. So if the man thinks it is time to go make money, then I am ok with that.

RBs have a short shelf life.

He’s got freedom.

Good luck to him.

Bama’s dynasty hadn’t kicked in yet. According to UGA posters, the Dawg dynasty began with the ND game in ‘17.

So yes, UGA royally shite the bed this week. And the ‘dynasty’ talk needs to be toned down, tbh.

Bama losing the Sugar Bowl to Utah in year two when Saban came up short of the title game didn't stop Saban from putting together a nice run. This loss doesn't mean much for UGA. Losing these players might hurt UGA but they have been recruiting great, and we will see next year. I laugh at everybody for overreacting to players and assistant coaches. There is no short supply of either of these. I am not counting UGA out yet.

UGA is still in a really good spot.

Honestly, though, I think running back is a position where the sooner you get to the NFL, the better off you are.

They may take a step back next year, but they are still on an upward trajectory, at least, in my opinion.

Fl is also. They may not be ready next year, but by year three I think that GA/FL game will be the one to watch from the East.

Kid is a hard runner and could have had a helluva game against LSU. I know John Battle had enough of him off two hits, LOL.

If he wants a paycheck and help his family, then do it right. Pay off debt and get into an affordable place.

This is a very good point.

I disagree that they even take a step back. I think fans of the teams they beat just want to laugh at them right now, but the truth is that they don't need Fields because they have Fromm, and they still have the rest of that number 1 recruiting class, and they still have one of the top ones coming in this year. Lose talent but have talent coming in is what college football is all about. UGA is still in position to be the main player in the east.
