This comment, and a billion like them I've read or heard, is why I can't pull for Bama. Y'all are just too friggin cocky and obnoxious.

Bama could lose 4-5 games this year and it wouldn't hurt the SEC champ (presumably LSU) in getting into the title game unless they had 2-losses.

This..."we have to root for Bama for SEC cred/prestige/future rankings" is so 2004.

Well that is my point Number1, I believe that this year a one loss SEC team will not get the benefit of the doubt as in years past. The rest of the country is tired of hearing how much better the SEC is. So I do not believe Bama losing to Michigan would hurt LSU at all, unless Michigan goes on to lose 3 or 4 games. I mean it's not like Bama would be losing to ULM or Utah. Oops sorry about that.

I personally hope bama loses every game they play, whether it be on the gridiron, the court or the field....

Yeah my fingers slipped while typing damn. But seriously I don't think Bama has much to worry about hopefully both teams are undefeated come Nov 3.

Those fans probably have the same motivation as the Alabama fans who rooted for Oregon last year.

Alabama wins this game going away.

Why do you care what other fans think? LSU fans hate Bama therefore we root against them, simple. Who gives a shite what ESPN thinks of Michigan or any other school, as long as LSU wins out we control our own destiny. frick this pulling for the SEC horse crap, I pull for LSU only! Every team including the best in the east will get their shot at the Tigers, bring them on.

Don't care either way.....

It's a win/win for me as a Tiger Fan.

Bama loses and it shuts the assholes up on here for awhile......They win and we have to wait til November to shut em up.

In my opinion this will become more important when the playoff system goes into effect in 2014. The strenghth of schedule component will be impacted by each conference's results against other conferences. Thus, it will be imperative that all your conference teams do well in the ooc games. This will be one of the tiebreakers for the multiple 1 loss teams seeking the 3rd and 4th slots.

An Alabama win against Michigan will be a feather in the cap of the SEC over the BIG 10. An LSU win over Washington will help the SEC over the Pac 12. This will be our argument for a second SEC team over a conference champion. This will be a critical component of that argument.

Possible that in the future an SEC game like Tenn v. NC State or AUB v Clemson could decide if a second SEC team gets in over an ACC champ.

Short-sighted view. What hurts the conference also hurts all of its members. This will be more apparent beginning in 2014, when the play-off starts.

If LSU and Bama aren't both undefeated when they play, it would be a detriment to the SEC.

All the other SEC OOC matchups also impact the computer polls in the BCS, and impact the conference ratings for strength of schedule. The computer can't tell that it is a mid-tier SEC team that could lose to an upper-tier ACC team, think AUB v Clemson. Computer just sees an ACC victory over SEC, thus rates ACC as stronger conference.

I am as objective a Bama fan as you're going to find, and I honestly don't give a shite about who is pulling for whom. But, I doubt that Michigan can win this game unless one of two things happen. Bama must turn the ball over at least twice inside their own 30 or Michigan scores twice on big plays (more than 50 yards). Bama will score 28 or more points, and there's nothing Michigan can do about that. But they are good enough that if Bama gives them a couple of gifts, they can win.

Right, because that's all it is. It has nothing to do with an LSU fans saying I hope Bama loses every game.

Pathetic is wanting Bama's team plane to go down and then a tornado hit it for good measure. I actually heard a LSU fan say this. I was pissed.

I have never pulled against an SEC team until now.
Last year we beat them, and by the every game counts logic, should have been done with them. So now I will pull against them till they get a loss, so we won't beat them in November, have to play them again, in a game where we have nothing to gain, and everything to lose. The SEC doesn't need the hype these days. I hope The Maze and Blue wins!!!

Solid pic.

I'm not rooting for michigan or bama. I don't care who wins because it won't matter when LSU rolls through the season undefeated.
