we don't need help. if LSU goes undefeated in the SEC then they're going to the NC. its not going to matter who wins in week 1

I get the conference pride deal for some of you, but I don't pull for every team in the SEC especially the gumps their fans are insufferable more than any and always have been. Go Wolverines

Insufferable or not...be wise enough to realize that a gump loss could hurt you in the long run. As long as you beat us that loss won't matter. Or is your hatred so strong you'd rather take the chance of us losing and then hope it won't matter at the end of the year?
Especially if you have a 1 loss LSU, a 1 loss michigan that beat Alabama, and a 1 loss USC at the end of the year? Maybe others also....but you know how much the media looooves them some Michigan. You'd rather take that chance huh? Bama at it's finest!!

Yea, I don't get SEC fans pulling for OOC opponents in general vs any SEC team. For instance, say Bama loses to Michigan and LSU has one loss to Bama along with a handful of other one loss teams at the end of the season. Michigan or another one loss Big 10 team that beat Michigan might well get the nod for a NC birth over LSU.

In your shoes...having to sweat it out...sure. In LSU's shoes, no, that would have been ignorant, even though it was likely LSU would win. You never know with a few turnovers, momentum, etc. Bama had the perfect seat...didn't have to play again and risk it, and was still in the game. It was ridiculous that LSU had beaten bama, was undefeated, yet had to play another game at risk while bama sat at home with one spot locked up, while a loss by LSU may have cost them the shot...Ridiculous. If you can't understand that, I can't help you.

I'm fine either way...
If Bama wins, the possibility remains for an epic top3 night game in Tiger Stadium...not to mention is good for the SEC in general.
If Michigan wins, that means Bama lost, which I can't help but get pleasure from. Jan. 9th is still too fresh, so I can't necessarily "root" for Bama just yet.
Either way, I'm happy. Should be a good game, definitely looking forward to seeing how it plays out.

Well...the play off thats coming is the top 4 which means that the higer your SEC opponents are ranked when you play them the more you move up the rankings after you beat them. Same theory applies!
